    The Classic Dracula

A difficult read to start due to the layout and language but I'm so glad I persevered. The final sentence of the note at the end summed up the premise so well for me. I definitely recommend Dracula if you're looking for a classic on cold winter nights.

    A great horror book

It starts slow but it builds up suspense and excitement to it's great ending. It's no wonder the Dracula theme has been in movies, the story is great

    Cool

Considering all the vampire shows, movies and references now this really hits home. So long ago this was 'cutting edge'.

Not as expected, but still worth the read

The book wasn't as good as I had hoped, and by today's standards is rather underwhelming. Still, Stoker's characters are probably his best asset, and Van Helsing is the most unique. Don't read this expecting it to be like the film we all know; it departs significantly very early on and only references the novel a few times. But what I ask the next reader to do is to watch Mina's development as she is the crux of the novel. The novel is a good one, but not scary by any means and can take longer than it ought to sometimes. It is enjoyable though and, especially in today's more equal age, should be read both for its progressiveness and it's conservatism. See

    Somewhat interesting

Interesting but written with too many words which could be avoided and which could tire out a reader.
