  • "Dragon King" - Book 6.5 in the Dark Kings series

I finished reading this novella March 31, 2017. This is my review. I liked this novella. Quick and to the point. This story is about Arian and Grace. Arian is a Dragon King that just woke up from 600 years of sleeping in his mountain. Grace is a writer searching for her muse. The story starts off very quickly with Grace under a deadline for her new book but she's lost her muse. She only has three weeks to write a whole book or she loses her contract. Her book is set in Scotland, so that's where she is now to find her muse. But when she finally finds a beautiful and quite place at the base of a mountain, the last thing she expected to see was a real live dragon! Arian has just woken up from a long sleep. He's about to join his dragon brethren when a beautiful woman walks into his cave! Who is she and what is she doing here? And how did she even see the entrance to his cave when it's shielded by dragon magic? She could very well be the enemy working for Ulrik. Arian must find out the truth because she just may be his mate. This novella can be read as a stand alone if you've never read the series. Arian was only introduced in the last book and only by name. Because the story is novella length, the relationship between Arian and Grace moves really fast with Grace accepting Arian's true nature of being a dragon really quickly. It's a love-at-first-sight kind of romance. Excellent chemistry between the two of them. Romance, Dark Fae attacks and betrayal are all packed into this little novella. Really fun to read. It doesn't further along the plot of the entire series but I liked it anyway. It's a good story.

    Thanks for your feedback!
