    Dragons and Pirates, Oh my...

The descriptive prose gives the reader the feeling of being present in the story. Action on the sea abounds and one can almost feel the salt spray in the activity on the waterhttps://booksprout.co/uploads/covers/originals/Dragonclaw-1530848514.jpg. The story moved quickly as the boy/man hero makes his was into trouble with pirates. With no chance to escape, he becomes the beneficiary of assistance from an unexpected quarter. This text is an easy read, and hard to put down. The unexpected ending left the reader wanting more. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

    Pretty good story!

For a short little prequel, it’s pretty good. The authors jump right into the action and continue to keep a very steady pace throughout. The writing is very well done and I liked the main character, Darek. He tends to lead headfirst into trouble though. No fault but his own though. I’m going to have to read the next book now to see what else he stumbles into. Seems like a promising start to a new series! Dragonclaw Dare is the prequel to the Dragon Sea Chronicles. A series worth following!

It's probably a really bad idea to accept a dare when inebriated at any time and it's even less wise to do so when pirates, sea monsters and a maniacal Mage are in the mix. Plenty of nerve-wracking action, humour, likeable, engaging characters and enough magic, mayhem and monsters to keep the pages rapidly flipping over.

    Greatbeginning

This short story prequel has my interest piqued for the rest of the series. I had a little trouble getting in to the story, but by the time I finished the first chapter I was really interested. Definitely a departure from my usual genres, this is well written and exciting. The characters are interesting and the protagonist is quite likeable. I thought it was quite an experience reading this book, the challenges were well written and the plot was good as well written scenes make it all come together.
