    A Guerra de Creta de 205–200 a.C. foi um conflito militar que opôs o rei Filipe V da Macedónia, a Liga Etólia, várias cidades cretenses (entre as quais se destacaram Hierapitna e Olunte) e piratas espartanos a Rodes, Pérgamo, Bizâncio, Cízico e Cnossos. Os macedónios tinham acabado de terminar a Primeira Guerra Macedónica e Filipe, antevendo uma oportunidade de derrotar Rodes, formou uma aliança com piratas etólios e espartanos, os quais começaram a atacar navios ródios.
