    I Enjoyed it

Eighty One Nights is my first Georgia Cates novel and I enjoyed it. This story held me attention from beginning to end as the author takes us on a journey as we follow these two characters who enter into a relationship based on a business transaction for "a girlfriend experience' and ended up falling in love. This first novel gives us all the details of how Hutch and Lou fell in love inspite of whatever contract they signed and whatever dramas they had going on. The story was sweet and steamy and you will feel the intense chemistry between these two. There was something simple and calming about this relationship that drew me in and that's what had me rooting for these characters. This is the first book in this duet and it end in a major cliff-hanger. I can't wait for the second book to see how this all gets resolved. Eighty-One nights was a fantastic read and I would definitely recommend it to all lovers of contemporary romance.

One encounter that changes your life....

Bills….bills…and more bills!! It’s a reality that so many know all too well. For Cait – the reality of needing money while attending college is at the forefront of life. How can one person handle it all? Then the reality of her roommate’s job hits Cait with full force. Becoming an escort for wealthy men wasn’t really in the cards, but with mounting bills staring her in the face Cait decides to discover what it’s all about. Determined to make the most of the situation, Cait accepts an assignment as a companion for a widow. The 3 month contract would allow for the full girlfriend experience with Maxwell while providing Cait with much needed funds. Maxwell and Lou (Cait) felt an instant attraction upon meeting, but both knew that nothing would become of their time together; there was an expiration date on their contract. Maxwell was determined to make the most of his time with Cait, including overcoming her strict list of objections. What neither could imagine would be the way the couple seemed to mesh seamlessly into the others life. A melding of two souls that few find during their lifetime. Maxwell has his own secrets, and Cait manages to accept them with open arms. What would they do once their contract expired? Eighty-One Nights if the first book in the Beautiful Illusions duet. With an unusual story idea, Georgia Cates has managed to create a world that few wouldn’t find tempting. Maxwell and Cait embark upon a journey that will have an effect on their lives in unexpected ways. Each wanting to provide the other with security, kindness, and a memory to last a lifetime. With an expiration date firmly in place on their time together, where will the couple stand once the clock strikes twelve?

    A deeply binding love story!

Fabulous! A relationship that begins as a strictly scripted contractual arrangement between Maxwell Hutcheson (“Hutch”) and Caitriona Louden (“Lou”) blossoms into a beautiful and deeply binding love story. Georgia Cates has promised that Eighty-One Nights incorporates elements of her previous works. Don’t be fooled into thinking that there’s nothing new to see. This book is amazing, an exceptional blending of both fresh and memorable ideas from Georgia’s glorious mind! She gifts the reader with an enticing new couple. Hutch is a hot possessive Scottish alpha. Lou is a kind pragmatic American student. They are both saddled with too much family discord which would be better left in the past ... if only! At least, for the next eighty-one days and nights they have each other. Georgia doesn’t just tell us that they fall in love, she shows us with her outstanding word imagery and emotional poetry. I just love reading her books! Hutch and Lou remain in my head long after I finish their story. All of Georgia’s 5 ⭐️star stories have this effect of pulling me back and not letting go. And she’s done it again with Eighty-One Nights. This one is phenomenal but remember that it is Part One of a duet.

    Marvellous new duet!!

Caitriona Louden is a beautiful young American student living in Edinburgh, she’s lived there with her father and step-mother since her mom died when she was sixteen. Cait, has a less than loving with her dad, the man who walked away when she was born. She was left with her alcoholic mother and forced to raise herself. She doesn’t trust or give love easily. Maxwell Hutcheson is older, devastatingly handsome and a recent widower and desperate for companionship. He and his wife had been having issues before she died and now he’s trapped in a limbo of denial and grief that he shows to friends and family, but the truth is, he wants a fresh start. Cait is a stepping stone to that end, or she’s supposed to be. Cait is struggling to pay her college fees as her father refuses to give her any more help. She needs money and her friend Rachel shows her a way she can earn enough to cover it all by doing a little extra work over the summer break. Inamorata, is where Cait and Max meet. It’s the first time for both of them. Lou, as Cait calls herself, isn’t sure of what to expect of the clientele, but she pleasantly surprised when Max asks her to be his… for three months. Lou hadn’t planned to go all they way, like some of the girls. She told Max right off the bat she wasn’t offering her body to him. He was happy to just see where things went. If they were attracted to one another and they wanted to have sex, then they would, as long as that’s what Lou wanted. From her first date with Max, or Hutch as she decided to call him, Lou knew he was a man who’d respect her wishes, despite what she did for a living. The more time the spent together, the closer them become. Cait isn’t worried though. They have a contract and her heart isn’t on the line. She can walk away at the end. Hutch knows his feelings are becoming real and he wants Loun to be his for real too. So, what will happen at the end of Eighty-One Days. You have to read it and find out, bear in mind, though, that this is a duet so the ending isn’t really, the end. Can’t wait for the next part to see where this is going. I can highly recommend this one to fans old and new, alike.

    Loved it

Georgia Cates is a new author to me. I was intrigued when I read the blurb and thought it was a great opportunity to dive in to a new author. Be prepared you need to wait for book two to get the conclusions to their story. Maxwell (Hutch) Hutcheson and Lou (Cait) have a contract, it is not a conventional contract but one where Hutch has hired Lou to be his girlfriend for 3 months. Hutch is a recent widow and is struggling and he wants someone to ease his loneliness which is where Lou enters. She has joined the dating service to help with her tuition fees. Neither of them expect the connection which springs to life when they meet initially. Of course like all contracts there are terms to be agreed upon and lines to be drawn. I was drawn to both these characters and Ms.Cates style of writing drew me in and kept me entertained throughout the story. Hutch is drawn to Lou in ways that have never happened before and he wants to pursue these feelings. His past is sad and heart breaking so for him this is a giant step; the connection between them is real and he knows it could lead to more. What will happen when their contract ends? We will have to wait and see.
