Another hit in a terrific series!

As with the first three books, this one has a complex plot with plenty of twists and turns. We learn much more about Scott’s family situation adding another whole branch to the family tree, so much so that this book could almost be called a family saga as well as a mystery. I love the complexity of the characters, the messy relationships and the emotional upheaval the reappearance of Scott’s mother brings. A secondary character, Nelia, also makes some changes in her life and I am looking forward to the next book to see how that plays out. This series has become one of my favourites. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

    Elegy in Scarlet

This book is a little different on the other Scott Drayco stories in that it delves deeply into the Drayco past. I did enjoy it, but was a little uncomfortable with this particular Scott Drayco. Not quite as much music as usual, maybe that was what I missed. Scott's mother reappeared in his life - in jail and accused of stabbing a man to death.
