4th book & still enjoying it

►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►► NOTE: I bought Embrace the Passion on my own as I'm reading the series. I was also given a free copy of the book from the author in exchange for a honest review. ►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►►► Embrace the Passion is book #4 of Caris Roane's Blood Rose Series. I won't mention anything about the story because that can be found elsewhere. I read the three prior books in the Blood Rose Series, but you can start with book four without being too lost. There's enough references and spots revisited in the story that helps with the things that happened in the prior books. The characters in the story, are likable with villain to hate. The story draws you into the author's created world and has a nice flow. Once I got into the story, I hated putting it down. The sex scenes fit into the storyline and tastefully done. There is a bit of a cliff hanger, in that the background story that started in earlier books goes through book four and will continue in the books to come.

best blind date story ever. ;)

Seth and Lorelei do not know they have been set up for a romantic entanglement, rather these two people who are used to facing life, and it's many challenges alone think they have been told to accept a situation where they will be working together. Instead of getting tossed together over an awkward meal, where neither can think of a topic of conversation, they work together for a month before the story truly begins -- allowing them time to discover first hand one another's many strengths and admirable qualities. I was gifted a copy of this story in exchange for an honest review, and enjoyed every chapter. I adore the universe that Caris Roane has created with these stories in the nine Realms, while being equally grateful that each book is a self contained story that reaches a satisfying conclusion. I finish the tale eager to return to the nine Realms not because I feel she has left me dangling off the edge of a creative cliff, but because I enjoy my escapes into the Realms and can not wait to find out what happens next in the battle against the Invictus.

    Embrace the Passion

This is the fourth book in the Blood Rose series, and I would recommend that you read these in order for the full impact. Although each story could be read as standalone (sort of), there is a general overall arc which makes more sense if you've read them all. Also, it's a wonderful series so there is no reason not to. This is Seth and Lorelei's book - both of whom we have met before. Poor Lorelei has so many different 'strands', it's a wonder she knows who she is! Seth is a loner by nature, but circumstances made him even more wary of letting anyone close. So maybe, just maybe, having someone close with so many different 'personalities' is a good thing? For me, that is a resounding YES! as I loved how they interacted with each other. Lorelei teasing Seth to get a reaction. Seth pretending to be grumpy to Lorelei, to make her smile. And I have to say too, that I loved the beginning of the book. To have our main female admit to loving the main male within the first six paragraphs was brilliant. I loved the depth and storyline to this book. I love this Realm more every time I visit. With some very sexy scenes, as well as more romance than you can shake a stick at, this is definitely one that I can recommend. Loved it! * I received this book from the author in return for a fair and honest review. * Merissa Archaeolibrarian - I Dig Good Books!
