    A fitting end

I have just finished reading ALL the Assassins and Bullies books in just on two weeks because the characters and the stories are so inspirational. I got hooked because of a short story in a recently released anthology about ice hockey and a story right at the end, Grace and James' story of how they met and fell in love and I really cried when I got to the chapter titled "Twenty years later". I can't believe that I have just finished reading a book that is set 23 years after that story and those 23 years have spanned all the Assassins and Bullies stories. In most of those books the end goal (pun intended) has been the NHL so the direction of this last book has been so refreshing. Sofia and Ryan are perfect for each other and he is all the firsts that a girl could want and deserve. His absolute patience with Sofia, whose training as an elite gymnast has meant that she has never had any kind of relationship with a boy, is simply staggering. Amelia was so right in thinking that her brother would be perfect for her best friend. The last chapter, titled "Present day" in that original novella gives a preview of what happens to her and while it saddens me to think of how she has not always made the best decisions, she still has amazing family to fall back on. I am looking forward to her story and since the new series seems to have its overarching title based on a certain NHL team that a certain secondary character in this book signed with I hope my idea of how her story pans out comes to fruition. I have genuinely enjoyed reading this series and all these wonderful characters whose lives intersect because of the Nashville Assassins and Bellevue University.

    Kudos Ms. Aleo!!! Phenomenal Read!!!

I was first introduced to hockey romance a few years ago and found that I absolutely LOVE it. A friend recommended a new author, to me any way, Toni Aleo. OMG, I will be forever grateful. I was gifted with the chance to read an advance copy of End Game. I did not want to go into the series blind, so I binged on her series via the Romance Package on Audibles. I grew to love this series and its characters more and more. I listened to every book I could, then I entered the world of “End Game”. OH! MY! GOSH!!!!! I LOVED EVERY PHENOMENALLY WELL WRITTEN WORD!!! I did not want to put this book down, once I started reading it, but the way my life is going, I did not have time to finish it before release day, for which I must apologize. One of my favorite aspects of a book, how well does it draw on my emotions? How many feelings does the book make me feel? How deep do those feelings go? Does the book make me, for instance yell at one or more characters? In my honest opinion, this book is a total winner, not only did it draw on my emotions, pretty much all of them (however, no anger, which is not a terrible thing). It DID bring out the tears though, both the angsty and happy kind. For example, her mom, and the vault, sorry ladies, no spoilers, let me just say, I cried like a baby at both times. I want a Ryan of my own!!! Over the last 2 months, I have really come to love Ms. Aleo’s writing. Whether or not you like a good sport romance, this book is for you. The romance in this book is over the top. Watching these two, and what they go thru, I just fell in love with both Ryan and Sofia. Thank you for reading my review. Now, what are you waiting for, go hit that purchase button, and enjoy a phenomenal read!!!

Best in Bellevue Bullies Series <3

Ryan is determined to make it to the NHL and follow in his uncle’s footsteps. Sofia was an Olympic contender in Gymnastics but had to make some new goals after life threw a few obstacles on her path. Yes, they are both outstanding athletes. Yes, they are both charismatic and driven. But the main thing they have in common, is the incredible attraction they feel for one another. Toni had set the bar really high in this series with the Sinclair brothers (holy hotness) starring in the first three books. But she stepped up her game, as she always does, by giving us the story of Ryan and Sofia. The sweetness and the chemistry is THROUGH THE ROOF!! We get to witness so many raw and pure moments between the two main characters. From Sofia’s new life experiences to Ryan’s insecurities and internal debates! Toni knows how to makes us experience, bone deep, what each character she creates feels throughout the story. And I feel that she did that exceptionally well in this particular book. I found myself laughing out loud many times. Tearing up a few times. Getting hot A LOT (sheesh). But I also finished this book with a great feeling of satisfaction. Many themes are explored, such as adversity, insecurity, loss. But what I felt came through in this book, is how becoming resilient and letting yourself be vulnerable is a big part of allowing pure happiness in our lives. Another great book by Toni Aleo… Seriously I am soooo happy I found this author. I have read EVERY book she has written. Not only have I never been disappointed by one of her books, but I feel like every time a new one comes out, she surpasses herself! That being said, get all her books! If that is not a possibility, at least get your copy of End Game ASAP and find a few free hours to read because you won’t be able to put this book down! Enjoy!

    Another terrific 2nd gen series!

I adore second generation books and this one completely joins the club. I loved how gentlemanly Ryan was and his tenacity to make Sofia give him a chance. And Sofia...i absolutely loved everything about her. I liked her don't give up attitude, her passion for sticking to her dreams, and her love for Ryan. The storyline rocked, the other characters were intriguing, and it was quite steamy at times

    Great read

I’ve come to expect a lot from Toni Aleo, and I’ve never been disappointed. Her protagonists are always well-matched and their actions and reactions are true to their personalities and situations. I love when a story can hold up without the angst of third party interference by secondary characters, such as ‘another woman/man’ etc. Keep them coming, Toni, and I will be purchasing each new book. P.S. Can’t wait to see Shea recovered and back on the ice. A great player.
