    Thanks for your feedback!

I enjoyed Ender's Game, but I'm surprised that so few people here have found anything to criticize about the book. I think OSC tells a good story that asks some thoughtful questions. However, throughout the whole book I just felt like I was reading an extended prologue for the later series. If I'm not mistaken, this book existed first in novella form, and then OSC developed the story into a full length novel. IMHO he could have stayed with the novella and avoided the repetitions that he had to draw on to extend the story. I also didn't buy the part about the children being 6 years old. Really? If you are going to try and sell that idea you need a pretty convincing back story, of which there was none. I'm looking forward to the second novel, because I think that is probably where the real story will be fleshed out. But I think the Coles notes version of Ender's game would probably suffice.

    Understanding

Enders Game is a novel like no other, it takes the darkest and most depressing aspects of my life and, in a stroke of literary genius, reverse perverts them into beacons of light and hope. In a sense you become Ender Wiggin, though he may be younger, smarter and greater than you will ever hope to be he shares some trait with just about every personality on the planet it just takes time to find. I have never said that a book has changed me before, but I do now. No one may ever read this but if you do I plead to you to think about not the story but the character. Become Ender Wiggin. No matter how different you may feel you are. We live in a world of seven billion Enders, expand your horizons.

Awesome! Just because this book is about kids doesn't mean it's for kids, lots of complex relationships and real world truths. Still timely 10 years later.
