  • An epic journey

What a refreshing read with a positive message of hope and inspiration in a time when the opposite message seems to be the flavour of the week.

  • Must Read

Mr. Pinker describes the achievements of humanity as they are - always improving, always better. Today is better than yesterday.

  • Amazing Insights

Loved this book. It's dense but really backs up its position with clean, reliable world data. Although I went in with a positive outlook on life, I left with real numbers and percentages to share with others (probably to the point of boredom). If you think that one or multiple facets of society have declined today, you are most certainly incorrect or misinformed. Car accidents? Less now. Police shootings? Less. Deaths from disease or famine? Astoundedly less. Education? Not great today, but still better. Although things seem bleak, the overall trend of people becoming more enlightened and living healthier, happier lives is overwhelmingly positive. But read the book to see for yourself.

    Thanks for your feedback!
