    Escape Clause

This was a great read. That Virgil f..... Flowers is an awesome person. I feel like I'm with him all through the book. Only a super author can do that for me. Let's me go away for a while in my head! Thanks a lot. Bob.😆

    Escape Clause

Not the best Virgil Flowers book I've read but worth the time. Would like some more Lucas Davenport stories but perhaps JS is to flush with money to work that hard anymore.

    Ehhh

Book was ok but almost seems like Sandford using ghost writers sometimes. No glaring mistakes in this one but not up to his usual standards. I guess he is just tired and by contract has to turn out a book ever now and then. Last Prey series read like it was written by folks who had never read the previous books. I know it's fiction but we loyal readers have pictures in our minds of what the characters look like so how does someone make the glaring mistake of changing Lucas' adopted daughter's hair from blond to almost black like his. The book was filled with and Sandford has been rough on her left arm...cut, broken, shot and more. But I still readem over and over. I've been in law enforcement and...other aspects of it for over 30 years and Lucas, of course, is living out the cop dream. Hope to see more books but whoever writes em, please read the previous ones. And we read non-fiction so the good guys can win so it isn't necessary to kill off any one else. I see enough of that in real life.

    Number Nine

Virgil Flowers is back and ready to solve another case. Two rare, endangered tigers have been stolen from the Minnesota Zoo. Since the zoo is owned by the state, the BCA is called in to find the tigers before they are harmed or killed. Virgil isn't thrilled to be assigned this case since he thinks he'll be known as the guy who rescues animals. When Frankie is injured because of her sister's investigation of a local farm that is trafficking people, Virgil splits his time between looking for the tigers and helping Catrin find who assaulted Frankie. I was more interested in the case involving Frankie than I was the case of rescuing the tigers. As usual, Flowers is hilarious. I love Shrake and Jenkins. This was a quick read with some suspense and some gunfire. Can't wait for the next one! *This is a voluntary review of an Advance Reader Copy.*

Investigating at it's finest with a laugh

I just love Virgil. When he begins investigating everything always goes wrong, but eventually everything goes right. Virgil is a problem solver of the people who need him.
