Review: The Thornfield Affair 1: Euphoria

Euphoria by Amity Cross is the first book in her three part series The Thornfield Affair, a modern day re-imagining of the story of Jane Eyre. I was enchanted and addicted to Jane Doe and Edward Rochester's latest story. Jane and Mr. Rochester told in a modern setting is something I was intrigued by completely. When it came time to dive into the story I was filled with anticipation which may be the reason it seemed to move slowly for me. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed and devoured every word but the pace was slow & steady. Jane was tough and this version seemed more likable to me than the past versions I have seen portrayed on screen in a classical setting. We all know the story so I won't spoil everything by revealing the modernization but I enjoyed every word, every letter and am on tenterhooks for the next book.
