    Even Money

Even Money sucked me in from the get and didn't let me go until the end. Oh what an ending it was, it left me chomping at the bit so to speak dying for the conclusion. I loved the moral dilemma of this story and cannot wait to see what choices the main characters make and how that affects the outcome. I definitely recommend this to those who love super sexy stories blended with suspense and a touch of dark. ARC provided by author

    Love it SEXY SUSPENSE

Nothing better than a slow burn suspense. NOT DISAPPOINTED! Belle our Vegas casino waitress you shouldn’t like her but you do. Best friend style braiding hair and sharing secrets and she has hers. Dario the casino boss he’s off limits or is he ? Sorry are those my panties on the floor ...oops. He has secrets too. Such an intensity as you’re reading you can’t wait to turn the page but you know that shoe is going to drop and oh boy it DROPS HARD. Bring on the next one can’t wait!

A Gamble Worth Taking, 5+ Stars!

WOW! What an ending! This book was SO good! I devoured it fairly quickly. Bell is a waitress at a high end casino in Las Vegas. She has a tragic past and doesn’t do relationships. She’s a friends with benefits kind of girl. That is until she meets Dario Capece. He is a big name in Las Vegas and they have an instant attraction. This book was amazing. I loved watching (reading) it all unfold. It has a suspense aspect to it the I also loved. I definitely recommend this book to everyone! I can’t wait to get the next book in the series. I NEED to know what is going to happen next.

Suspense Wrapped up in a Delicious Hot Romance

What did I just read?!! Was my first thought as I finished, 'Even Money,' it was a first class reading treat! Those last few pages….. I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING. If you want to know what THAT is than pick up this book right now. 'Even Money,' sees Alessandra Torre going right back to her suspenseful writing roots all wrapped up in a delicious HOT romance. A cocktail waitress and the most powerful man in Vegas with heavy responsibilities to match. Secrets, lies, death, and love all weaved into a prose that is both vivid and fluid. Written with a mixed narrative style, first person when from the perspective of Bell, the heroine at the heart of the story, switching to third person narrative at all other times, a technique I have seen this author use before and one that works perfectly for a story like this allowing the reader to learn things about various characters, situations, and moments in time that aid the suspenseful development whilst maintaining the flow and tone of the story. The suspense element is skilfully layered into the narrative so that it made my heart rate rise, had me on the edge of my seat but equally did not distract me from the main course of the story which is the sizzling hot chemistry and the perfectly developed relationship of the male and female protagonists. They danced their way around undeniable attraction, an attraction that is convincingly shown to the reader. Their relationship may be one of an instant connection but I totally bought into their connection, believed it and wanted them to act on their feelings which is testament to the writing power of this author. There isn’t anything about, 'Even Money,' that I didn’t enjoy. Fast paced, high drama, very sexy and sensual with great leading characters who had amazing chemistry and engaged my attention, my belief and my heart from the very beginning. It kept me firmly on my toes in terms of making me think about the story and I simply cannot wait for the next part which thankfully is coming towards the end of this month.... I need to know what happens next! Advance copy received / reviewed voluntarily

    4.5 Stars

Oh my word!! I have no words. How does Alessandra Torre come up with these, unique, brilliant, unexpected storylines? I thought I knew which way this book would go, I had a few theories, I was trying to imagine each scenario, and then BAM! I did not see that coming. My head is spinning. Now to the characters, Dario and Bell, I adored them, even Gwen, I had respect for knowing her upbringing and her psychotic father. For such a strong, intimating man, Dario is so sweet, caring and understanding with Bell, just the right amount of alpha. As for Bell, maybe she is a little weak, allowing the affair with Dario to go ahead, but let’s be honest. How would you fair up against all that confidence and charisma? A wonderful story full of suspense and angst with just the right amount of sexy time. I’m being petty only giving this book 4.5 stars out of 5, this is purely because I’m frustrated at having to wait for book 2. I know it’s all part of reading a duet. It doesn’t mean I have to like it though. I was well and truly hooked from the first page, and following the explosive ending, I cannot wait to see what twists and turns book 2 will bring. I was provided with an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. This is my honest review.
