    Really good read

I liked Cole and Lisa's story I like a good neighour romance so this seemed like a good fit for me and it was. They have both had issues in their past and need to deal with their baggage so they can move forward. I enjoyed getting to know these two they were good likable real characters with real problems. This is the third book in the series and while it can be read on its own they are better in order.

Neighbors to Lovers This is my first time reading

This is my first time reading a book by this author. The characters were well developed in the storyline, you can I feel all the different emotions each character was feeling. I even found myself talking to the characters as if I was a part of the story. Cole’s family really showed unconditional love, along with love is color blind, no matter the race love is love, especially when adopting. Lisa I felt so sad for how she was in a marriage where she catered to her husbands needs and he doesn’t treat her the same way. Then he divorces Lisa for a younger woman, that is a hard pill to swallow. This storyline line had a combination of romance, mystery, enemies neighbors to Lovers, interracial family and love. My attention was held from the beginning until the end and I still wanted more. I highly recommend this book to read and I definitely will go back and read Lucy Eden’s previous books since some of the characters are in those books. Cassandra H. Fun, emotional story, wonderful characters

I enjoyed this story. Cole was such a romantic once he realized his own feelings. His actions made me smile, cry, and appreciate the reality in my own home. He cared for Lisa despite all that made up her life. I loved Lisa's journey throughout and how she was all in once CJ appeared. I recommend this story. I look forward to reading another story by Lucy Eden. I received a copy of this story through Enticing Journey Book Promotions, and this is my unsolicited review.

Wonderful, fun, steamy book about love and family.

This is my first book by Lucy Eden and it will not be my last. I want to read everything she's done right now! This book was wonderful. Two characters with traumatic pasts who meet under odd circumstances. Him drunk and her with a baseball bat. After their rocky start and a few surprises, they really connect. They had fantastic chemistry and some parts had be laughing out loud. Lady bug, poop, specimen cup anyone? I loved all of the side characters as well. Both of their families were wonderful. This story is also full of some pretty steamy scenes as well and were very well done. The only thing I didn't care for was that everyone seemed to be incredibly rich. I guess it adds to the story in ways that poor people can't. However, that's such a minor thing and a total personal preference. I loved the honesty in this book. Such subjects as adoption, a somewhat unconventional adoption, divorce, mental health, counseling, PCOS (Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome), Metformin and even the use of a CPAP machine. These are things that happen in the real world and was great to read about it. I have PCOS and take Metformin. It's not something you read or hear about often in the real world let alone in a romance book. Thank you Lucy Eden for including the subject. A lot of women have this and don't know it. I received an advance readers copy for an honest review.

    Loved it

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is a cute and thought-provoking story with a small element of a mystery and some social issues that are touched upon but don't take over the romance. I'm always down for a story where the female is older (albeit only a few years) than the male, where he is early in his career rather than being a mogul of some type, and where a child is a main feature of the story as in this case. I also loved the fact that Cole's adoption was not acrimonious and that he knew his biological mother loved him but had issues with taking care of him, and whilst he called her by her name, he also still referred to as his mother. That was SO refreshing as not all adoptions are based on neglect or abuse. The 'meet cute' was one of those moments that I found funny and wondered how the couple's next meeting would play out. But their first full length interaction ended up in 'almost' sex which was... offputting to be honest. I also was somewhat frustrated at the ending and the choice Lisa made and the deus ex machina of their combined financial situations. Cole's mom though, her 'lesson' to Cole about money and ethics was so on point that I felt it. However, that being said, this is such a lovely and sexy romance which is supported by some wonderful secondary characters, and the mini-mystery played out quite nicely even though it didn't necessarily have a happy ending. I now want to go back and read the author's other books about all the connected characters in this book.
