  • Loved Rye and Brenna

I loved this book! I couldn’t put it down. Rye was at times frustrating and heartbreaking. Brenna is both hard and vulnerable. Together they are funny, sweet, hardheaded, bickering, spicy and a bunch of other adjectives that describe two opposites who shouldn’t attract but definitely do. I’m brand new to this series, so I didn’t have a readers view of their relationship before this book. It’s made clear that their interactions in the past have been very adversarial at times. Maybe the lack of hindsight and first hand knowledge of those moments have me seeing them through rose colored glasses. Honestly, I don’t care! I just know that this reader fell in love with Rye and Brenna both individually as well as a couple. Well written, compelling and so very hot, Exposed is a 5 star read for me.

Such a great read. I read it in one day. Loved this book. It’s just wonderful. Rye and Brenna have such great chemistry and banter. I really enjoyed them. This is a fantastic series and I can’t wait for Whip’s book!

  • Brenna and Rye's story was so worth the wait!

I feel like I've waited for this book to come out, for forever. I'd been curious about Brenna and Rye's story since I first read Idol. I could just tell that they somehow had to end up together and I couldn't wait to read their book and see how their story goes. Of course, it did not disappoint. Kristen's books never do. I loved this book so much. One of the reasons being of course, that I got to see my other beautiful characters, Killian, Libby, Scottie, Jax, Sophie, etc. And just like every other book in the VIP series, it was so steamy and their story spanned YEARS which in my eyes, is just adorable. I've adored Brenna since her very first scene in Idol. I loved how she was with the whole gang, I adore the friendship she forms with Libby, and eventually Sophie too. While we'd seen Brenna on a surface level in the other books, since they weren't hers and we just saw her interactions with the other characters, we really SAW her in this book. We went deep and saw everything that Brenna truly is. She's witty, sarcastic, independent, open and bossy. She's the perfect little package. I almost love her as much as I did Libby. ALMOST. and Rye. Oh my sweet, sweet Rye. He knows everything about Brenna. Every little thing that she does that most people would find insignificant to notice, Rye did. Every girl wants a guy who pays attention to the tiny little things and Rye did it all. Both Brenna and Rye had surrounded themselves with walls that no one could penetrate and I loved watching them both take down each others walls. It was beautiful. Something I love about every single book of Kristen's, whether it's a book in the VIP series, Make it Sweet, Dear Enemy, etc. is that all her characters are so...REAL. None of them are shown as perfect despite being celebrities or not. They all have flaws, trauma, bullshit to deal with, and watching them slowly grow out of it all or become better, or even try to become better and let people in is just beautiful. Some fo the most realistic characters I've ever read have been in her books. Another thing I love about KC is her writing. It's just so stunning and beautiful. I absolutely adore her writing (Can you even adore a writing? I think you can.) The descriptions are perfect. The scenes are perfect. Communication? Perfect. One main character describing how the other main character looks like to them? Makes me melt. And some of the phrases/lines are downright alluring and makes me so so so happy. All in all, everything about this book was perfection and so worth reading. I would recommend this series to anyone and everyone out there. You're missing out in life if you're not a part of the Idol world.

  • I loved this enemies to lovers!

Exposed was an emotionally charged enemies to lovers love story. I was so happy to get to see my old friends from Kill John. In Exposed we get a closer look as to exactly who Brenna and Rye are. After overhearing a private conversation Rye makes Brenna an offer she can’t refuse. I adored watching these two let their guards down with each other. Rye and Brenna spent years butting heads and being mean (ish) to each other for reasons no one is aware of. After letting their guards down they discover how much they have common and how compatible they are. I definitely think everyone who enjoys well written romance will love this story!
