    Beautiful and Emotional Love Story!

I was given an advanced copy of this book to write an honest review for Netgalley and Cocktails and Books. FADE INTO YOU is a beautiful love story filled with passion and emotion. This is the third book in the Shaken Dirty series and each one is a standalone featuring a different member of the Shaken Dirty rock band. I have enjoyed each story in this series and love all the guys in Shaken Dirty. This story is about Wyatt, who plays drums for Shaken Dirty and has just finished his third stint in rehab. Wyatt has demons and uses drugs and alcohol to deal with all the emotions swirling inside of him. He is determined to stay clean this time but he doesn’t know how to cope on his own. He is a mess and afraid to ask for help or admit his fears to anyone. The band thinks Poppy Germaine has been sent by the record company to help them with their social media. She doesn’t tell the band the owner of the record company is her father or that she is there to watch over Wyatt. When she agreed to take the job, Poppy had no idea she would fall for Wyatt. From the moment Wyatt and Poppy meet, they can’t keep their hands off of each other. Poppy is drawn to Wyatt; he is a dark, emotional man who can also be tender and sensitive. Logically, Poppy knows she should keep her distance, but logic flies out the window when she is with Wyatt. I liked both Wyatt and Poppy and thought they were good for each other and they have fantastic chemistry. Wyatt is a mess and he is trying to stay away from the only thing that gives him peace, drugs. He cares about his band mates and he knows he can’t keep causing problems for the band. Wyatt is constantly fighting to overcome his addictions and it is not easy for him. I admire how hard he tries to do the right thing and how passionate he is. Wyatt’s world revolves around music, playing the drums and his band mates, until he meets Poppy. The problem is Wyatt and Poppy both have secrets they are afraid to share and their secrets can tear their fragile relationship apart. Tracy Wolff knows how to write realistic characters with flaws. I felt as though I was right there with the band and I never wanted to leave their world. The guys are friends, enjoy spending time together and love to joke around and give each other a hard time. Everyone in the band has worked hard and they are now a huge success but being famous isn’t easy and it has changed their lives dramatically. All the guys really want to do is write songs and play their music; but unfortunately, with fame comes a lot of responsibility and many people they have to please.

    Amazing

So. Freakin. Good! Shaken Dirty is back and ready to Rock and so is Wyatt Jennings! Fresh out of rehab, again. The bad boy drummer of Shaken Dirty has demons that won't leave him no matter how much booze and drugs he consumes. Will this be the time he finally beats it?? To keep an eye on him their current label sends Poppy Germaine for the job. If he knew why she was really there he would go ballestic so she shows up under the guise of social media specialist. Sparks fly between them before they even realize who the other is and won't let up. The good thing, she seems to be the one person who can bring calm to his life. The bad - she lied to him. This is a fantastic sexy as hell read. I definitely recommend it.

    Sexy yet emotional

I’m not a fan of third person point of view writing. I find that it limits my ability to get into the story and connect with the characters. However, I am a HUGE Tracy Wolff fan and I have never been disappointed with any of her books. This one was admittedly hard for me to get into. I’m going to blame it on the third person POV writing, because I’ve never had this issue with any of her previous books. However, once I got into the book, I was able to find what I needed to really connect with the story and the character. Tracy Wolff does emotional turmoil and angst with the best of them. Her characters are real, flawed and damaged yet entirely believable. Wyatt is one of those beautifully damaged characters. His drug abuse stemming from a childhood trauma that has left him feeling unlovable and unworthy of affection or praise. Poppy comes into his life under the guise as the band’s social media manager, but a chance encounter ignites their passions and throws them into a relationship with secrets and lies threatening to come between them. I started out this book not realizing it wasn’t the first book in a series. It can be read as a standalone, but I got the feeling I missed out on some pretty good stuff, so I would recommend you start from the beginning and truly appreciate all the character’s and Tracy’s gift for the written word.

    ...intense that it became painful

Fade Into You got so intense that it became painful and disturbing to read. Ms. Wolff took the reader into the soul of an addict and exposed personal thoughts and the triggers and inner demons that work against them on their journey to sobriety. I received an ARC from NetGalley and Entangled Publishing from an honest review. This is Wyatt's rodeo as he faces realities that are hard to except, learns about himself and figures out why he keeps on making toxic decisions. This is being labeled as a romance and in a way it is but not in the truest sense. I think the love story lies more in Wyatt learning is stronger than he believes, his actions have consequences and he does matter despite his mistakes. Wyatt has to learn to love himself and in a round about mixed up way Poppy helps him realize that.

    Moving at times

I thought this novel could do with some editing as the inner monologues are a bit long, but overall I enjoyed the story.
