  • Keeps you guessing.

So, Samantha is invited to join a secret society. What could possibly go wrong? Well maybe the death of the person whose place she is taking, or the possibility of a serial killer, or some vigilantes, or a missing teenager? You get the picture. Somehow, along with the usual crowd, Nick, Eddie, Dante and Loncar, she is soon in the middle of yet another convoluted tale. I was fortunate enough to get hold of an advanced review copy of this book and can honestly say that I enjoyed every moment of it, right up to the rather unexpected conclusion. It is definitely well worth the read.

  • Clever mystery

Samantha Kidd is such a fun character and I learn something in each book too. In this latest installment Samantha is invited to interview for membership in a secret fashion society. She is very excited thinking of all of the fashion possibilities, and intrigued because she didn't know that the society existed. I loved all of the information about jeans, much that I didn't know. There is not only a mystery to be solved this time, but also Samantha is asked to help find a missing teenager. The son of a friend who may be in danger. I like how Samantha uses her own unique skills to help solve the crime and find the missing boy, and also how she has grown over the course of the series. I can't wait to see what happens next! I received a complimentary copy of this ebook from the author. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

  • Can This Mystery Be Unzipped

Farenheit 501 by Diane Vallere, book twelve in her Samantha Kidd Mystery series, is a fantastic story that I could not put down; bringing plenty of mystery, self reflection, and a whole lot more. This time Samantha has to deal with it all; multiple murders and a missing person, a castle in the middle of the city, and Levi 501 jeans galore. Samantha Kidd is invited to join a secret society; a group whose mission is to preserve famous fashion patterns through memorization and pass them down to future generations. Samantha is so excited dreaming of Chanel Jackets and Halston Dresses, but is disappointed when she is assigned 501 Jeans. When the retiring denim expert turns up dead, she fears there’s more than fashion history at stake. Can Samantha unzip the facts or will the truth stay buttoned up forever? I genuinely enjoyed reading this book and had trouble putting this book down. The story line was riveting and kept my attention to the very end. Humor is interspersed throughout the book along with fascinating tidbits from fashion to pretzels to Levi’s. Ms. Vallere does an excellent job keeping her readers on their toes as they read her stories. She had me mis-guessing who the killer was and boy was I surprised when I found out. I highly recommend Farenheit 501 to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

  • Fahrenheit 501 by Diane Vallere

Fahrenheit 501 is another exciting installment in Vallere's Samantha Kidd cozy mystery series. Samantha finds herself invited to join a secret society that she had never heard of before. On her initiation night, the member of the guild that she was supposed to replace is found dead. When her ex-boyfriend's son is connected to the crime scene, Samantha finds herself compelled to find the missing teenager as well as solve the murder. Vallere does a great job at setting up a compelling read. I love how this book touched upon all the important people in Samantha's life from the past as well as the current people. It was so great seeing all of these characters interact and work with Samantha to solve this one. Vallere also set up some important personal stuff for Samantha to deal with which made the story more impactful. The book's mystery was well done and did a great job at keeping the reader turning the pages. I also enjoyed learning about denim. Overall Fahrenheit 501 proved to be a great read that I would most certainly recommend. I look forward to reading Samantha's next adventure. Received a copy of Fahrenheit 501 from the author in exchange for my honest review.
