  • Ford was swoonworthy!

I'm a sucker for sports romance. It's my favorite and make it hockey and that moves it up another notch! Piper Rayne has been scoring with the Hockey Hotties series from the start, but I wasn't expecting the Ford we got in this book. He changed and learned so much throughout this book! Ford Jacobs is a professional hockey player who is hot, rich and he loves life the way it is. Partying and spending time with women at his will. That all changes when he learns he's fathered a baby as a result of a one-night stand and on top of that, the baby's mother has left her with him and split. He's learning to be a single parent and still playing hockey full-time, not to mention constantly getting into it with his father because Ford isn't following in his footsteps and taking over the family business. Lena Boyd is the PR representative for the Jacobs family. She has been treated as one of the family from the start, but she has never felt like she totally fits in. She had a less than stellar childhood and she is still scarred by many of the experiences she had growing up. Lena has had to do damage control more than once when Ford has gotten himself into trouble and to say he's not her favorite person is an understatement. When Ford's father finally decides to sell the business, he gives his son an ultimatum; either come home to New York and be CEO of the company or enter into a fake engagement with Lena to facilitate the sale of the company. Neither Ford, nor Lena are thrilled with Mr. Jacobs plan, but neither can say no either because they both get something out of it. As Ford and Lena are forced into close proximity, things begin to shift between them. Will they trust what is happening between them or will the past end up derailing a relationship that could be more real than anyone ever imagined? I enjoyed how this all unfolded. I did not expect Ford to be as swoonworthy as he was and I also appreciated the lesson he had to learn for him to realize just how much he really had changed. Lena was such a strong character and I loved that about her. She had her vulnerabilities, but that made her incredibly human. This is worth picking up and I'm really looking forward to the next one in this series!

  • A NYE kiss can lead to forever...

Faking It with #41 is the third installment in the ‘Hockey Hotties’ series by Piper Rayne. Each boy follows a different player from the Florida Fury hockey team, and they are all standalones but still interconnected. You don’t need to have read the first two to read this one, though. Ford Jacobs is the sexy hockey player that Lena has to ‘look after’ during her time as PR for his wealthy family. Ford was expected to take over his father’s business but he wants nothing to do with the company. Hockey is his life, that and playing hard and fast outside the rink. Everything was fine… in his eyes at least, until he was literally left holding the baby. He’s a hot, sexy dad and Lena finds it hard to resist him, especially when Ford’s father comes up with a plan to fix Ford’s bad image. There’s some pushing and pulling between these two as they try to find even ground and make what turns out to be real feelings, into the fake relationship that Ford’s father had planned. But, as always, love wins over all and this small family of three can be happy ever after.

  • Full on romance perfection!

HOT SWOONY SINGLE DAD HOCKEY ALPHA ALERT! Faking It with #41 by Piper Rayne was full of entertaining moments, warm gooey feels, nuclear hot chemistry and just over all romance perfection. I am seriously in deep love with Ford and Lena! The authors pulled the tension so taut that when they give in, it was pure ecstasy. The road from fake to real was riddled with uncertainty, stubbornness, heartbreak and pain that only made the happily ever after sweeter. Faking It with #41 by Piper Rayne was such a sweet, sexy and just overall amazing ride that I didn't even notice the time passing. And I never wanted it to end. I reviewed an early copy voluntarily

  • Loved It!

I devoured Ford and Lena‘s story. I knew these two would eventually get together and I am so glad we didn't have to wait to long to get their story because they needed to be together ASAP! Ford is a bit of a playboy he enjoys his time with the ladies and doesn't mind hooking up for a night...or two, but never did anyone see him settling down especially with Lena, his fathers Public Relations Rep, the one that is always tasked with keeping him in line. But if you have read the first couple of books in this series you knew it was inevitable that they would be together...how could they not be with that much chemistry between them. But what I never saw coming was that his dad would be the one to push them together, yes you read that right. There's a fine line between love and hate actually sometimes I believe they are on the same side of the coin especially when it comes to couples like Ford and Lena, because the only thing that burns brighter than their dislike is their desire for one another. Ford has been raising his daughter, Annabelle, on his own since her mother walked out on her. Your heart is going to melt when you see how he is with this precious little girl. I listened to the audiobook version of this book and really enjoyed it, Teddy Hamilton and, Erin Mallon did a fabulous job with bringing Ford and Lena's story to life. I would recommend this book to anyone that enjoys Steamy Hockey Romances, Contemporary Romances, Single Dad Romances, Enemies-to-Lovers Romances, or the Fake Relationship Trope. Happy Reading!!!

  • Rayne has done it again

📢 Extra! Extra! Read all about it 📢 Hockey's Bad boy Ford Jacob is now a daddy!! Rayne has done it again. One of the best series of '21 Ford has so many layers The quick to ignite smexy hockey player The trust fund baby The ladies man The rebel The single daddy Wait? What? Ford and his father have always had a bit of a turbulent relationship Ford being, well Ford, can't help but do the opposite of what his dad wishes - which equates to 70% of Lena's job She's the PR for the Jacob family- a fixer if you will If you ask Ford she's the fun scrubber and the bear he loooves to poke When an opportunity presents itself for Ford to be free of taking over the family business and get his dad off his back for good he takes it. Even if it means a year married to the fun scrubber. He can do this. It's only a year Yeah... Dream big Ford 🤣 All the comedy, light angst, family, friends that are family, romance, just soooo many moments that evoke all the feels Don't pass this one up - Don't pass this series up
