    Wonderful

Alex McAllister has built a good life for her and her adopted daughter Cassie. While it's not without it's challenges they are happy and that's what matters. All that is threatened when a knock on the door brings a man in to their lives who claims he might be Cassie's father. Hayden Brooks is rich, powerful, and devastatingly handsome. He never planned on being a father but if Cassie is his, he plans on being there for her and raising her himself. After getting Alex to agree to a paternity test and waiting for the results, Hayden spends time with Alex and Cassie and comes to realize what an incredible bond they have and that he desperately wants to share in that bond. Can he change his life to accommodate them? Will Alex let him regardless of the test results? This is a wonderful story filled with great characters. It's a happy light read that you won't be able to put down. I highly recommend it.

    Falling for Her Enemy

Cassy really steals the show in this story - but I think that's a wonderful thing. The adopted daughter of Ales, Cassy lives with her mother and a household of family quite happily. But when Hayden finds out he may be Cassy's father, in he comes from across the country upsetting their lives and causing an incredibly amount of stress - right at Christmas time. Now, Hayden has the best of intentions at heart. If Cassy is his daughter, he wants to be a part of her life, make sure she has the best of everything, and be the father he thinks she needs. The problem - that may mean taking her away from the only family she's ever known. So when Hayden and Alex begin to realize they actually like each other, things get quite complicated. Alex was a doll as well (although she did come off as a little too perfect at times). She works in the local bakery and always seemed to be sneaking cupcakes or walking around with sugar/flour on her nose. I loved her from page one. Her devotion to Cassy and the reasons behind her were so touching. I just wanted to hug them both. The ending wasn't what I had expected though. While I was initially a little disappointed. But the more I think about it, the more I realize it was actually just right. *This book was received in exchange for an honest review.*

    Falling For Her Enemy

Wary of letting anyone in, Alex McAllister always dreamed of a life filled with the laughter and love of a family which has her struggling with the magnetic pull she feels toward the handsome stranger who claims he’s the father of her adopted daughter in this gripping contemporary romance. Hayden Brooks had never wanted to be a father but now he’s facing his daughter’s stunning adopted mother and the reader can’t help but lose their heart to Alex and Hayden as they struggle with unfamiliar feelings just in time for Christmas. The chemistry between Hayden and Alex is a simmering heat just waiting to explode as they warily dance around each other with the major hurdle between them really threatening to keep them apart which leads to some pretty emotional encounters that grip the readers by their heart. Strong compelling characters draw the readers in and refuse to let go while the fast paced, smooth flowing and well written plot captivates readers with suspense, turmoil and romance with expectation building lots of tension throughout the story as Alex and Hayden await the outcome of the paternity test while struggling with their desires. I was completely captivated by Alex and Hayden’s story and I couldn’t help but lose my heart to the situation and since there is nothing more satisfying than well-deserved HEA, I can’t wait to read the next Still Harbor romance.

    A Heartwarming Christmas Story

Once again Victoria James has a heartwarming story, perfect for the holiday season. This is the second book in the series, but can be read completely alone. Alex is a single mom, who adopted Cassie. Alex grew up in the foster system. She does not have much in life but very contented with her two other foster sisters and her bakery. Hayden, rich businessman has just found out that Cassie might be his daughter. Hayden shows up in Still Harbor, requesting a paternity test. Nothing in common with each other but their love for Cassie. Should enemies fall in love. The results become official on Christmas, will the results be happy celebrations. I loved these characters, very strong and loving. How can you not fall in love with Cassie, she is so cute. I highly recommend this book along with the first book in the series. Falling For Her Not So Enemy

Alex’s life isn’t going quite the way she planned. She had plans to save enough money to buy the bakery that she worked in. Except the nice elderly lady who owned the bakery couldn't wait that long due to health problems. Not to mention she had found out that the man who possibly may be her (adopted) daughter's father was flying to Toronto to get a paternity test done so he could find out if this woman who showed up on his doorstep was right and he had a child. I'm noticing a pattern when reading this series. It's not a bad pattern, but it's easy to see where the story is going. Each of the three "sisters" have adopted a little girl. Each of the "sisters" have had traumatic pasts that are linked into why they are single parents of said children. They live in the same house and their kids are happy, well adjusted, and are close-knit. Just like Janie in Falling For The P.I., Cassy is absolutely adorable and was fun to read about. I really came to like Alex and could definitely understand how she felt like she was about to fall into an ocean when Hayden appeared and wanted to take Cassy back to Vancouver if the DNA test proved Cassy to be his. Hayden was easy to like, even if he wanted to take Cassy away from Alex if the DNA test proved that Cassy was his. He made sure to make both Alex and Cassy comfortable with him around and not let Cassy know exactly why he was there. If I had one complaint, it would be that the use of the words perfect, hot, gorgeous, etc. was a bit much. I get it, but it doesn't need to be said every fifteen pages. Also, I get that he wanted to take her to bed, but good Lord, that seemed to be all he wanted once he stopped thinking of Cassy and Alex as a business project. Overall the story was enjoyable and was a quick read. Out of the two stories in the series so far, this is my favorite. I'm looking forward to reading Cara's book when it comes out! Note: Falling For Her Enemy is part of the Entangled Bliss Line of books. These are sweet romance novels with sex scenes behind doors. There is mild cussing and foreplay.
