Review: Modern Fairy Tale Duet 2: Falling For The

Falling for the Beast by Skye Warren is the concluding story in her Modern Fairy Tale Duet. Picking up after book one ended, Beauty and the Professor, we are witness to the struggle that Erin and Blake endure as they try to keep themselves separate until the end of the semester. Erin stills think she isn't worthy and Blake still thinks she won't come back to him, but they both manage to work through their insecurities together even after a hellacious visit with a vicious mother. Blake, finally, at Erin's request, shows his darker side to her and she can't get enough of him. Emotional, angsty, sexy, and with the happy ending I hoped for this was a great conclusion to the duet. Enjoy!

    Loved it!

I loved this story, the conclusion, for Blake and Erin! There is so much pain in their story, but it is also overflowing with love and emotion. All of it swirls together, envelopes them, supports them rather than drag them down. They truly are the perfect fit together. Apart, they are good, together, they are complete <3

Can Love Overcome Differences & Insecurities?

This is the second book in this duet and you do need to start with book one, Beauty and The Professor first. I liked Blake and Erin a lot. Even with the age gap it is very easy to feel the emotional connection between these two and their chemistry burns through the pages. I really enjoyed this engaging story about the differences between these two and the insecurities they both have. I felt for both of these characters. They each had heavy emotional baggage that weighed heavily on them and caused stress on their relationship. My one complaint with this book was that I wish that Blake had sought some help for his PTSD. In book one it was not such a big issue but in book two I felt that this really took center stage and I just felt that the author dropped the ball by not addressing the issue in a head-on, realistic way. I simply could not believe that with the concern and care Blake tried to show Erin wouldn't force him to either seek help or be forced to leave her in his need to protect her. Still, I did enjoy this steamy and emotional series. The dual narration was a plus and both narrators did a terrific job. #AudiobookObsessionReviewer

    captivating

5 Stars Review by Amy W. Late Night Reviewer Up All Night w/ Books Blog The second book in Skye Warren's A Modern Fairy Tale duet, Falling for the Beast is an emotional and worthy ending to an amazing retelling of a favorite. Erin and Blake have choices to make, for themselves and for each other. But what choices are the right ones and is heartbreak the only way? OMG!! I'm an emotional wreck. Too many emotions flowing through me right now. But that was the best way to end this twist on a classic. Skye Warren never fails to give me a story that is captivating with all the feels. I know that this is a revised publication of a serial, but having never read the serial, all I can say is that this is amazing! This ranks right up there with the original in my opinion.
