  • So good!

    M. Robinson and Rachel Van Dyken team up to write this captivating story. This is different from any other books they have written. This was a very dark storyline with triggers. It was definitely twisted, steamy 🔥and full of angst. I was intrigued from the beginning, there were times it got difficult to read but I pushed through and I’m so glad I did. I thought it was well written and easily flowed together. Now to cure my book hangover! If you like DARK this is for you!!!

  • Must read if you like dark romance!

I'm not sure what I was expecting with Falling for the Villain, but it sure wasn't the heart racing, Kindle melting, page-turner that this book turned out to be. I practically read this book in one sitting, only taking a break to eat and take a cold shower. It was that good! Now, I will say that this book will not be for everyone. It is a DARK romance. In the real world, the events taking place here would be disturbing and horrific, but this is FICTION. You need to keep that in mind while reading, and if things like kidnapping, slavery and abuse are triggers for you, then you definitely want to skip this one. If you can get past all of that and enjoy this story for the fantasy that it is, well then...you're in for a treat. Donovan aka Master kidnaps Juliet and plans to keep her as his own. He is not a nice man. He truly is the villain here. He can be cruel and abusive, but as the story progresses, we see how Donovan became the man that he is. And as Juliet fell for her captor, I fell right along with her. There were some scenes that were a little difficult to read, there were others that nearly caused my Kindle to combust. There was some angst that caused my heart to race, and a few scenes that broke my heart. And again...I could not put this book down. This was an all-consuming story that left me breathless and wanting more. If you like dark romance, then this is a must read!

  • This monster consumes every page! You decide!

2.5 stars - I am a hot mess of feelings about Falling For The Villain. It’s a dark, hardcore, shock value type of story. I’ve read dark, kidnapping stories and BDSM’s before, but this was off for me. I genuinely like both of these authors stories usually and have read the majority of what they have written, but this was missing so much for me. I wanted to throw my kindle so many times. I also felt like we needed a little more about Juliet’s brother as well because he would do anything to find her alive or dead because it would consume him forever. That being said, others may get wrapped up in the pain and devastation because everyone’s tastes are different. My emotions were all over the place that’s for sure. I say be the judge for yourself and decide what the story does for you. I think the cover is perfect and if you read the story, you’ll know why. It has some very poetic, beautiful lines that will tug on your heart, while it continues to break you. Falling for the Villain will definitely be a love it or hate it book for readers as Juliet’s monster consumes every page.

  • Love this author duo💓

Mafia, mystery & a little kink. FFTV is mafia lite & diet M/s. I love the Rachel/Monica duo (Ha just realized Friends😉) They bring out a uniqueness in each other’s writing. Wrought with past hurts Donovan has one goal in mind. Make Juliet his in EVERY way. The only problem…she doesn’t even know he exists. Once Donovan sets his plan in motion Juliet meets more than Donovan. She is introduced to an entire new world that he is the Master of….we also learn a bunch of Donovan’s childhood secrets. Donovan has to make choices that devastate Juliet & himself. Fate has other plans for Donovan & Juliet though;) Best quotes: “I want you to hate me, but I also want you to love me.”—🥲 ‘I laughed. And I realized I hadn’t laughed like that when I was living at home. But with my villain? I’d not only found my laugh, but my real home again.’—Like I said Fate…💓

  • Flipping Fabulous!

I wish I actually had the correct words to do this book justice. Actually, even if I had the correct words, I probably couldn’t use them without being a spoil sport. So please bare with me, as I try to navigate this review. I can honestly say without a doubt that I have NEVER read a book even remotely close to this one. Let me be the first to say, I’ve read dark books before, and now that I’ve read this one? It’s actually laughable thinking I knew what a dark book was. Shooo weee, Falling For The Villain is without a doubt the definition of a dark book. So take that warning for what it is. In all honesty, after reading the first couple chapters I didn’t know if I could do it, but I am so glad I pushed through. This duo of authors took me to a place I never even imagined. I was intrigued. I was scared, but mostly I was curious. Robinson and Van Dyken’s great world building opened my eyes to the curiosity and change. They crafted a well developed story that was perfectly plotted out with dialogue that even had me submissive. I quickly learned that there is a fine line between love and hate, and I loved to hate Donovan. Falling For The Villain is not an easy book in any sense of the word, but it is a book that will not be forgotten. It was such a nice change of pace. I actually really enjoyed it. I even put my own stamp of recommending it as well.
