  • FALSE WITNESS

A phenominal story, a horrendous eye opener. Sure to capture you from start to finish, gives you the shivers to think this is happening to females in real life, not just in fiction novels. A definite must read novel! Bravo to Karin Slaughter for another fabulous story!

  • A very disturbing story

I have very mixed feelings about "False Witness". While it kept my attention from beginning to end, I found the book extremely disturbing. The story centres on Leigh and her sister Callie, who as young teens were sexually abused by the father of a young boy, then known as Trevor, for whom they babysat. While Leigh has grown up to be a lawyer, wife and mother, Callie is a drug addict with a marginal life. When Leigh is hired to defend Andrew on a rape charge, she recognize that Andrew is actually Trevor, now grown up. Andrew is aware of a crime Leigh and Callie committee as teens, and this fact is central to the plot. Personally I think the book is too long, plus none of the major character have any positive qualities.

Don’t know if the book was good or not didn’t get past chapter two. Thank goodness there’s lots of other books to read.
