  • What a dynamic writing duo!

This story tells the tale of four best friends, fashion models who fight to make themselves stars and supermodels. This story tells of the highs and lows of being a part of the world of beautiful people and ugly secrets.  This story tells a tale of how each girl overcame their own individual hurdles and tragedies to become both beautiful and strong, inside and out. This story is rich in visuals, I could "see" the streets of New York City, the runways of Fashion Week and the gritty apartments that housed the new girls. I could "see" the beauty in each character's face and the beautiful clothes that they wore. You are going to get all the feels with this story.  I was excited about the girls' successes, I was angry at the things and circumstances that were forced upon them at such young ages and I cried when I felt the loss, loss of their innocence, loss of their families and loss of the people they loved. I wept and I cheered. The flow of this story and interweaving of all the main characters storylines was smooth and just beautifully done.  You can tell that both Ms. Ireland and Ms. Van Dyken worked together tirelessly to make this an amazing story. If you are looking for a beautiful story of strength in faith, friendship and survival look no further than this!  So well done ladies, I tip my proverbial hat to you both!

  • Fashion can’t hide the truth forever.

Fashion Jungle by Rachel Van Dyken & Kathy Ireland is a fantastic trip into the world of high fashion and all the mystery and intrigue therein. It’s the heart-breaking and painful story of four friends forced to grow up too fast by the industry meant to nurture them. I was spell-bound from the first page to the last. The writing just leaps off the page and yells for attention as do the characters. It was an ‘all-the-feels’ story and ticked nearly every box that I love to read about. It’s a twisty, turny, roller coaster of a ride kind of story. It’s different and a topic not often used by authors so it felt fresh and new. I stayed up all night to finish it, it’s that un-put-downable.

  • Suspenseful with Strong Fierce Women

WOW! I for one am super glad I read this story. Definitely wasn't what I was expecting but in the best of ways. Super twisty. Just when I thought I had things figured out I was wrong. Definitely a book I recommend if you're wanting something not over the top hot and steamy but suspenseful and extremely well written. The characters were all strong fierce women. I admired their strength and courage. I never thought about the "modeling world" being so crazy. I loved it!

  • Unique phenomenal must read story!

This new dynamic duo of amazing woman writing together a story based on true events and told by four different characters perspective is a phenomenal one. While reading I had to try to fact checked some of the situations and try to figure out what where the real events based on. It was such an amazing read, it sorts of combines fashion industry with politics and much more. As Danica, Brittany, Zoe and Everlee's story unfolds you will be exposed to drama, romance, secrets, lies, jealousy, tragedy and everything in between. Being a super model is not always what it seems from the outside and the inner circle gets even more complicated than you ever thought so. This very unique story is one you don't want to miss, Kathy and Rachel has given us a must read 5 star book, can't wait to see how far this story will go, I foresee a TV show, movie or something alike and I would be totally rooting for it, as I believe this story should be shared on a wider audience.

  • Intriguing and suspense-filled

**I voluntarily read an early copy of this title courtesy of NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review** Fashion Jungle pairs supermodel Kathy Ireland with bestselling author Rachel Van Dyken to give us an intriguing and suspense-filled look inside the world of high fashion modeling. Danica, Brittany, Zoe and Everlee became fast friends when they met as they tried to make it in the world of modeling. As teenagers following their dreams, they never imagined all of the things they would encounter and would have to sacrifice in order to make those dreams a reality. We are taken into their lives and we see into their inner circle and all of the things they deal with day in and day out. The glitz, the glamour, the photo shoots, the galas and the not so nice side of the modeling industry is also showcased and it truly brings into focus how they could make it one day and the next everything they've worked for could be stripped away. The connection and love between these four girls is evident from the very beginning of the book. You feel every emotion right along with them and I also enjoyed the parts that Dane, Roger, Oliver and Ronan played throughout the book. I was very excited about reading this book and it definitely did not disappoint. It gives you a look into the interworkings of a lifestyle that many think is all glitz and glamour, when the truth is there is a lot more to it. Kudos to Ireland and Van Dyken for penning a tale that kept me intrigued from the outset.
