  • Twists and Turns

An easy writing style, interesting characters and lots of twists and turns make this book a winner. Looking forward to the next mystery in the series.

  • No 2 of a great reader-friendly mystery series

This is the 2nd in an excellent series of mysteries - not exactly "cozy", but certainly reader-friendly, and with a good focus on relationships, mystery, and even humour (rather than blood and gore, even if these are murder mysteries). I've enjoyed each one, and although you don't have to read them in order, I find the growing relationship between the main characters makes them even more enjoyable. The Quebec settings are a bonus!

  • Intriguing Mystery

An intriguing mystery and a great series. Megan and Michael visit Megan's cousin in Portland, Maine just as two women die under mysterious circumstances. It was suspenseful and the ending surprised me. Looking forward to the next book.

  • Fatal whispers

This book was not very interesting. Too mant flips in the story. The dialogue was lame and the characters one dimensional.

  • Suspenseful

reporter, suspense, family-dynamics, friendship, murder, murder-investigation, law-enforcement***** Ghostwriter Megan Scott and investigative reporter Michael Elliott from Montreal travel to Portland, Maine to visit Megan's cousin and get caught up in investigating the first murder. The publisher's blurb is actually a pretty good hook so I won't go there or do the spoiler thing. The story is fast paced, with tight narrative, a real page turner, suspenseful, and with lots of twists and red herrings. Great read! Don't worry about it being of a series, the author has that covered. Kelli Tager is remarkable as the narrator of this story with so many interesting characters! I won this audio in a Giveaway!
