I confess that I think you should give it a go

This is a short story I came across while browsing through and online store. It caught my eye (since I do have a fondness for short stories). At only 8 pages, it definitely qualifies. At it’s core, it is about a holy man who is about to take the confession of a demon. He only has 15 minutes to prepare for the encounter. If he doesn’t take on the demon, then his parishioners will be at risk and they will do the evil work of said demon. He finishes the prep work and sits in the confession booth to await the arrival with a few minutes to spare. A woman comes in and sits down to give her confession but the Father is too preoccupied to notice anything is amiss. Would I recommend this story? I would. Would I recommend this author? From a style standpoint yes. This story did intrigue me enough about Linehan’s work that I am very interested to check out some of her longer writings. So, if you have a few minutes to spare, give this story a try.
