    Interesting History Lesson

Interesting how far back the use of austerity in our country goes across both political parties. This book went into sometimes excruciating detail about New York cities near bankruptcy in the mid-70s I believe somewhat at the expense of drawing parallels to forced austerity around the globe by the IMF and World Bank and subsequent fallout created by anti-public, pro- corporate measures. Nevertheless, a well-researched and written history of NYC's near financial collapse.
