    Lots of humor

The book starts out a little slow and confusing if you have not read the 7 prior books. However, once you reach a certain point, the story sucks you in and you cannot wait for the next time something funny happens. And let me tell you, there is a LOT of humor to this story. I laughed out loud many times. Great characters, great story, lots of humor and dragons galore. Love it! Enjoy. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review from Netgalley.

    Freakin' Hilarious!!

FREAKIN' HILARIOUS!! As always Aiken had me laughing my ass off with complete entertainment! I was lucky enough to get an ARC copy of the book through NetGalley! My mom introduced me to the Dragon Kin series a few years back and I have been following it ever since then because never have I read a set of books that had me laughing throughout the whole book! And I don't mean just a little laugh here or there, I mean through the WHOLE THING! G.A. Aiken has created a very entertaining set of characters with this series and not once have I been disappointed with any of them. Having read all of this stories, including the novellas, I have to say that if you love laughing and humor or have enjoyed any of the previous Dragon Kin books then Feel the Burn is totally for you! This particular story lets you really get to know the Iron Dragon King, Gaius Domitus, and Kachka Shestakova, Elina's sister from book #7 Light My Fire. Kachka comes across as super funny because she is very literal and sees no reason to lie or beat around a bush when she opens her mouth. Gaius is a one-eyed Dragon King who loves to taunt the royal Southlander dragons. Their personalities work well together with her straightforwardness and his ability to just got with the flow of things. While this is listed under the category of romance, in no way would I honestly label it a sappy romance novel. There is more sex than actual romance in this story but there is also more action and adventure than there is sex. That is kind of how the series has started to become and I love that about it. Humor is throughout the whole thing and the story keeps pace with no lagging bits, so there is absolutely no way to get bored with it!! The Dragon Kin world continues to expand on the building war from the last couple of books with the crazy eye-less god worshipers losing their freakin' minds and the Army of Abominations (human/dragons offspring) getting ready to go to war with the Dragon and Bloody queens.

    Fabulous Adventure

As usual from G. A. Aiken, this is a fun and entertaining read with humorous irreverence. The female characters are strong and bold. The story had a rich plot with lots of action and a dash of romance. The battle against the evil has begun, and the protaganists are ready to kick it's butt!

    Another taste of Dragon's Love

G.A. Aiken has done it again. Amazing characters, reasonable storyline continuing the Calwader's Kin. I thirst for Dragon Kin books and can't wait for the next adventure she brings.

    Feel the Burn

Need more Dragonkin books! This series is great. The characters are well developed. The stories are easy to read and follow. I hope there are more books.
