  • 4.5 Second Chance Stars!

Fight for Me is a moving story of epic love and second chances. The oldest Arrowood brother, Declan and Sydney Hastings have been friends since they were kids and in love almost as long. When Declan suddenly lost his mother in a tragic accident, he was forced to take care of his younger brothers, and Sydney was always there right by his side. They were each others firsts, and were making big plans for their future that included marriage and kids together. But when tragedy strikes again, Declan makes the decision that he believes will protect everyone he loves. That night all the Arrowood brothers leave town, vowing to never return. For eight long years Sydney's heart has been broken, not knowing why Declan left her behind. Now Declan is back to the place he never wanted to return to, and that holds so many haunting memories. But it also has many good memories with Sydney as well. Because he doesn't plan to stay, they both vow to stay away from each other, which is impossible to keep for either of them. Their magnetic pull is too great and the push and pull between them is powerful and passionate. They try to be friends for the sake of their family, but are both so stubborn, I just wanted to shake some sense into them both at times! Declan, has to learn that he isn't in this alone and he is deserving of happiness and love. Sydney is the strength he needs, and the home he craves. But when Sydney finds out a secret, she is about to run from all she knows. Now Declan must decide what is worth risking it all, and worth fighting for. It was so much fun catching up with Connor, Ellie, Hadley, Sean, and Jacob. I love the fun scenes between the Arrowood brothers. They give each other a hard time but they also support each other unconditionally. Michaels brings us such vivid characters, and a story that is completely captivating. She really had my heart racing as she had me see-sawing between happiness and breathtaking sorrow. At it's core, this story is about whether or not love can truly conquer all. It is about our ability to forgive unimaginable hurts and trust enough to put love first. I really enjoyed this emotional and passionate story about healing, family, and second chances at love.

  • Love this series!

Oh, the angst, the beautiful angst in this story! It was phenomenal. This is Declan and Sydney's story and what an emotional rollercoaster it is! The love between Declan and Sydney spans the test of time and obstacles that circumstances have thrown in front of them. Declan has taken his role as the eldest Arrowwood brother very seriously, sometimes too seriously to the determent of his own happiness.  That is both a blessing and a curse for him.  When life brings Sydney and Declan back together, he fights with himself constantly and it made me want to shake or slap him and tell him to see the happiness right in front of him, grab it with two hands and don't let go. Sydney is dealing with some deep-seated insecurities from the past that she is slowly dealing with.  I admired how she stuck to her feelings and tried her best to give Declan chances to redeem himself. I loved the honesty of the feelings between Declan and Sydney.  They both were very open about their love for each other.  I was so sad when it seemed that their love just wasn't enough. The surprises in this book are going to make you gasp and make your heart weep. Another perfect story from Ms. Michaels and I can't wait to see what comes from Sugarloaf next!

  • Love this series!

Be still my heart! Corinne Michaels wrote a beautiful story about a second chance love that will steal your heart. It was filled with so many emotions and feels. I loved it so much from the characters to the writing to the dreamy but broken Arrowood brothers. Their past plays a major role in all their stories but it’s their story of healing that you will feel in your soul. Declan and Sydney were childhood sweethearts. When a family event, changes the course of their future, Declan believes Sydney and Sugarloaf are not in his. Fight For Me tells their story and it is so fantastic. I just loved getting to know them and see their love resume and grow. Their chemistry and love cannot be denied but can Declan disregard his past and family secrets to fight for the one he truly loves? Yes I wanted Declan and Sydney to just get over it, but the way the story was told had me glued to the pages. I couldn’t put it down and that right there is due to Corinne’s writing. Her stories suck you in, in the best way possible. I didn’t want it to end. I just love second chance stories. They warm my heart when there is history and seeing the characters overcome obstacles from their past and grow together to rekindle their romance. This book had it all. This is one of my favorite series of Corinne’s. I cannot wait for the next book, Sean’s story.

  • Declan ❤️ Sydney

So. This. This was so much 😍 Emotions were at an all time. I’m not gonna lie, you get lots of feels in here, but there were sooo many times my eyes were leaking while my heart felt like it was breaking. Don’t completely stress, cause there were a lot of times my eyes were leaking and my heart kinda swooned. Again, lots of feels. Lots of leaky eyes. But you had to expect that with Declan’s story. He’s the big brother, he protected everyone, which means he took the brunt of all the bad. That’ll mess you up. Even when you have your great love, like Sydney, you feel the need to protect by taking yourself out of their lives. But that becomes harder when he has to spend his 6 months in Sugarloaf. They try to avoid each other, which doesn’t work. They try to be friends, which sorta works, kinda. And then so much happens that I will not ruin for you. Just let me say, my heart ❤️ it went through so many feels. The emotions were real and intense. And oh my gosh I just love them 😍. You can’t help but love Sydney, and her fighting ways. And Declan, 😍 you just hope his broken soul becomes whole again ❤️. This. Is. A. Must!!!

  • Emotional read

Fight For Me is the second book in The Arrowood brothers and a beautiful book. This book gave me all the feels. Declan and Sydney were childhood friends then lovers. Then a at 22 Declan left and vowed to never to come back to Sugarloaf again. But now due to his father’s will he is back and in the same town as the woman he never stopped loving. Love Declan, but I confess that at times I wanted to scream at him to quit bring stubborn. He had lots of guilt and self recriminations. But he was also a protector. He always protected everyone he loved. Sydney. Loved her. For me she was the star of the book. Strong and so in love with Declan. This book is a beautiful second chance story that gave me so many emotions while reading it. Each Arrowood brother deserves their HEA and can’t wait for Sean’s book. My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ STARS!
