    Thanks for your feedback!

    You should decide for yourself.

I started to read the story, but lost interest in it rather quicky. Like I said before, the synopsis sounds better than the actual story.

    Loved It

5 Star Review Fighting Irish (The Summerhaven Trio #1) by Katy Regnery This was one of those books that grabbed me from the start and never let me go; what a terrific read Fighting Irish was. I simply devoured this book and was saddened when I finished it in almost one sitting. This is Rory Haven and Brittany Manion’s story. They knew one another as children but it’s been a long time and Brittany had no idea that Rory had feelings for her back then. Brittany is planning her wedding and has decided that the place where she used to spend her summers would be the perfect place to hold the wedding. Rory is now running the family business, having put aside his dreams, to help out when his mother has a stroke. After all, he is the most qualified to take over, isn’t he? I fell hard and fast for Rory Haven, there was just something about him that ticked all the boxes for me. Rory is stunned when he realises who Britt is and the chemistry between them is instantaneous. What happens when Rory sets his sights on Britt? Will she go through with her planned marriage or will she take a leap of faith and explore the feelings which are smouldering between her and Rory? One click and find out. I have read and listened to several previous books by Katy Regnery and as with those, I found her writing to be outstanding, the camaraderie and his relationships with his family was realistic and all in all this made for a great read. Fighting Irish was a beautifully written, romantic, story of a second chance at love and that given time and hard work, dreams can and do come true. I cannot wait for more in this series.

    Sweet

Rory had to set his dreams aside when illness struck his family. A meeting with a future bride to utilize the Summerhaven facilities brings all of his past plans rushing back. He was not expecting that bride to be Brittany Manion, the girl he had crushed on for three years when he was young. Now, he’s struggling with his feelings for a woman that is engaged to another. Brittany dreams of the perfect life with marriage and children and family. Throughout her life she has never been enough for someone to love but now she’s clinging tightly to her dream. When she hits a speed bump along the way, Rory becomes her soft place to land. I enjoyed watching Rory and Brittany fall in love. He was always there for her and she needed someone she could trust. My heart hurt for her as she struggled with feeling unloved but Rory was the perfect hero to sustain her through her pain. He was always so kind and caring and sweet. His heart was invested from the first moment he laid eyes on her again and yet he floundered at how to proceed. Watching him battle against his own mixed emotions was moving and I fell more in love with him as I witnessed his losing battle against loving a woman promised to another man. This was a fast paced read, low on the steam, and any angst involved was due to Brittany’s relationship with her fiancée. The secondary characters were well developed and help to set up future books in the series. There is no epilogue, I assume due to this couple possibly being included in the rest of the series. Overall, this was a sweet read that I immensely enjoyed.

    Fighting Irish

ARC for honest review with no compensation Fighting Irish is book 1 in the Summerhaven Trio series and as always any book by Katy Regnery is well written and this book takes you on a journey about the Haven Triplets (each will have their own story) with this book about Rory and Brittany and their second chance at love. They met as children but life took them both on journeys away from each other until years later when they meet again except Brittany is planning her wedding to someone else but maybe fate has thrown them together to show Brittany that maybe she shouldn't be getting married...unless it's to Rory... Can Rory show her that he is her forever love or will she think that he's out to use her like all the men from her past??
