    Best of the series

I have been anxiously awaiting Quarry's story since I met him in Till's story. This book did not disappoint. Fantastic. Fantastic. Fantastic! Quarry and Liv were both such likeable characters with flaws and issues. They had things they had to overcome (of course ), but the twists and turns were delightfully weaved in such a way that I could not put the book down. I am incredibly sad that this series is done but I can't wait for whatever is next from Aly Martinez!

    Fighting Solitude

Love this series. From boys to men. Love it. For a minute I was like ew, Q was a kid and now sex. But great even the sudden death of Mia. I hope there is more to come.

    LOVED Quarry's story!!!!

From the very first chapter of 'Fighting Solitude' I was once again drawn into the lives of Quarry, Till, Eliza, Flint, Ash & Liv. Starting when Quarry was younger, seeing when he & Liv first meet, giving us the journey they made as children, then teenagers, becoming a group of 3 friends, before we come to the climatic scene at the end of 'Fighting Shadows'. Oh if you haven't read either of the first books in Aly's "On the Ropes" series, then stop right now & go back & devour those books. For those of you who have read them, you know exactly what climatic scene I'm talking about. Not even 30% into this book & I had tears, more than in books 1 & 2... but I didn't let the tears stop me from finishing Quarry's story. I devoured it, I FREAKING LOVED IT! I'm not going to spoil anything about this book. You need to read & devour this book for yourself.

    I love those Page Boys

I've loved this whole series. The Page brothers truly are something special, and as Q states, they know how to love. I really like how the story of Liv and Q is complete. We get all the way back to the first meeting as kids, the HEA and all the ups and down in between. Liv and Q are cute partners in crime as kids. Both had tragic beginnings with their parents and home life, which left them a little damaged. A friendship between them just clicks. Teenage heightened emotions including hurts and insecurities cause disruptions, but despite distance and time, their connection is permanent. As adults they have to overcome more loss and indecision on the way to seeing if their relationship can become something more. Grown up Q is so sweet and sexy. I adore him. I felt every emotion these two endured. It's like my heart wants to take off soaring out of my chest to see these three brothers stories all fall into place, and getting updates on all the others in this book is like the icing on the cake. Fighting Solitude is a perfectly great standalone, but if you read the series, you get the full emotional impact. The ending section from everyone is a real my cup runneth over deal for me.

Simply perfect from start to finish!

It's becoming harder and harder to describe what my heart feels each and every time I finish a book by Aly Martinez. The woman simply renders me speechless. Fighting Solitude is the one story from the On the Ropes series that I knew would rip me to shreds. And it has. But I can safely say it was worth every single minute. Quarry. The youngest of the fighting Page brothers and the one with quite possibly the biggest heart. And if you have read the first two in this series, you know that is saying quite a bit. Told in alternating POV's we get both Quarry and Liv's side of the story. From the first moments of their interesting first introduction to each other to an unwelcome separation to the shared grief for a loss so profound it threatened to shape them forever. But at the core is the love. The love Quarry has for his best friend, the woman who quite possibly had his heart from the start. And the love Liv has for her own best friend in Quarry, stepping aside, holding back feelings when it just wasn't their time. Oh my. These two will have you laughing one minute, sighing the next and crying for missed opportunities and what life always seemed to throw at them. The resilience that these two possess is nothing short of awe-inspiring. Not to mention the feisty spirit deep inside each of them, for not only each other but those they care for. It's a sight to behold. I adored how just a single touch, a single word, whether spoken or signed could make it all better between these two. There is a chemistry that was present even when they were kids and through all their challenges, nothing could ever change that. The author continues to write characters that have presence, style and grace, even when dressed in boxing gloves and a bloodied shirt. I am simply enamored with this cast of characters. And they are all there, fully present throughout this book, thank goodness. A completely selfless and loving group, the Till brothers are in a class by themselves. I cannot recommend this book highly enough. Quarry promised his story. One that would ultimately both break and warm my heart and soul. And it's done just that. I am forever grateful to have discovered this author's words. These are books unlike any others out there. I simply cannot get enough. A standalone that should be read in my opinion, once you devour Fighting Silence and Fighting Shadows. And believe me you will. You will fall in love and want to claim one of the brothers for yourself. It's that simple. A huge 5+++ stars and a job just so well done.
