    A true feel good story!

If I could give this book more than 5 stars, I would. It was a refreshing, easy to read, entertaining story that made me unbelievably happy and left me with a smile on my face. The characters Blakely and Slade were hands down my favourite characters of the author and the witty flirtatious banter was amazing as well. Where do I even begin with Slade. He is the epitome of a fictional book boyfriend! He’s incredibly charming, caring, thoughtful and knows just the right words to say. He’s so swoon worthy too. A chance meeting at a bar has the storyline go in a direction you don’t quite expect. Slade is definitely good for a woman’s soul and heart too. I sighed alot! There is just so much to love about a book where the words are inspirational and hit home. I loved how Slade got Blakely to see her true self and her worth. Doesn’t everyone want someone like that in their corner. The ease of the friendship was wonderful and I just loved everything about it. A true feel good story that will touch your heart and soul just as it has mine.

    Entertaining

5 star review Flirting With 40 by K. Bromberg From start to finish, K. Bromberg wove a story that drew me in and had me riveted from the first to the last chapter and I was frustrated when real life got in the way of my reading. This is Ms.Bromberg writing at her best with a strong, emotional storyline and characters that you cannot help but fall for and whose story you quickly become invested in. Blakely Foxx and Slade Henderson were characters that were easy to relate to and I loved the, both separately and especially once they got together. Having recently divorced, Blakely is struggling,; her ex is already involved with another woman, half her age, her boss is being a jerk and she is just about to celebrate her 40th birthday. She cannot understand how a hot, and successful surgeon could possibly be interested in her. I loved how supportive Slade was and how caring and protective he is of Blakely. He was totally swoon worthy and I fell hard and fast for him as he helped Blakely get her confidence back. This book was exactly what I've come to expect from K. Bromberg; it was well written, it will make you laugh, it will make you swoon and I loved it.

    A light fantastic read.

I went into Flirting With 40 with mixed feelings. Romantic Comedies usually are not my thing, however this book just might have me changing my mind. I completely and totally loved everything about this story and it's wonderful characters. It was flirty, fun, and totally swoon worthy. Slade and Blakely had some of the best chemistry of any couple I've read. I simply could not get enough of these two and wish their story did not have to end. I could have devoured so many more pages of their flirting easy banter. I could relate to this story on such a deep level. Going through a divorce myself currently this book was just the light inspirational read that I do desperately needed. I felt much better after reading it. You know a book is good when it keeps a smile on your face from the first page until the very last page. I also LOVED this was a age gap romance, they are one of my favorite troupes to read and authors don't write them enough in my opinion. Blakely is not your typical heroine and I am totally loving it. She was so easy to relate too and love. I warmed to her character almost instantly upon starting this book. Her fiesty spirit and sarcastic mouth definitely kept you on your toes. It was also nice to see a heroine own her insecurities and allow her vulnerabilities to shine like Blakely did. What you see is what you get with her character. Slade is hands down one of the most perfect hero's I have read. I was obsessed with everything about him. He was charming, energetic, and fun. He was just what this story and heroine needed. Every single word out of his mouth, and action he took had me simply melting in swoons. Don't say I didn't warn you now that Slade Henderson is out to own your heart. *5 STARS* Is well deserved for Flirting With 40! It really is such a light fantastic read. This is also hands down one of my favorite reads of 2020! If you haven't one clicked this yet you are seriously going to be missing out on a great book. That I can NOT stress enough reading!

    Fun, Sweet, and Heartwarming!

Flirting With 40 is an addictive age-gap/fake relationship romance that will melt your heart! Blakely Foxx is trying to move on after her husband left her for a younger woman. Her new boss is also younger and isn't making life any easier on Blakely either. Blakely is feeling a bit lost and a bit like a failure when a sexy younger man tries to talk to her at a bar, and she just unloads on him. Slade Henderson is a cardio-thoracic surgeon who is completely captivated by the gorgeous woman next to him. He is intrigued by her confidence, and her insecurities. Their first meet doesn't go as well as either of them wanted but fate brings them together again. When Blakely needs Slade to be her fake boyfriend on a work retreat, he jumps at the chance to help her. It starts out a bit awkward but the activities during the retreat were fun, helping Blakely to feel more confidence and bringing them together. The transformation of their relationship was sweet and romantic, and the sexual tension and fiery chemistry was off the charts! But what happens when they return to the real world and their demanding careers get in the way? This tender, heartwarming story has all the feels and it will make you laugh, smile and swoon all at the same time.

Easily one of my favourite reads of 2020!

An absolutely perfect book for me! Easy to read, great story line with a feel good vibe and completely lovable hero. This is a true feel-good story and enough to boost the spirits and self-esteem of anyone. I was left with warm fuzzies and a soft smile on my face each time I think of Slade. He's just the perfect gent and just so right for Blakely. I don't think there are many readers out there that can't resonate or empathise with Blakely. There's always something about ourselves that the little voices in our head won't shut up about. Slade is Blakely's one to quiet that voice and drown it out with his goofiness, his confidence and his utter devotion to her despite their less-than-normal beginning. Buy this book, find a quiet spot, and devour this book. It will take your breath away and give you all the happies.
