    Heartbeat

Marlon AKA Grip, meeting Bristol is full of laughter and tears. Right out of the gate, this prequel for the upcoming story in Grip is moving. Bristol comes to visit her brother, and Grip's best friend in California while she is on spring break. Bristol wants to repair things with her brother. Since his best friend is interesting and makes her think, they get to know one another. The chemistry between these two - it's off the charts! I really loved these characters in the previous Soul series books. I am thrilled to see their story come alive. I enjoyed reading it and eagerly devoured each page. This book is the prequel and I am really excited to read the next book! ***This early copy was given in exchange for an honest review.

    Insightful prequel novella

4.5 stars Flow is the prequel to Grip and introduces readers to how Marlon (Grip) and Bristol met each other. It's a quick peek into how their relationship began and the amazing chemistry they shared in those few days. I was amazed at how much was packed into these handful of chapters and how complex these characters were. On the outside, they couldn't be more different, but underneath the layers, their souls speak to each other. There were times when I was stunned by the poetry of Kennedy Ryan's words. This is actually the first book/novella I have ever read by the author and I initially felt like I was missing some knowledge/history about these characters. I will admit it wasn't until a few chapters in that I really got hooked and invested in Grip & Bristol's story. Once I did though, I was in love and my heart pretty much got ripped from my chest with that ending. Thankfully, I can dive right into Grip. ;) Definitely recommend this prequel novella!

    The perfect teaser!

This is the best teaser novella I think I've ever read. It really does give the reader a taste of exactly what GRIP will bring them. The book introduces Grip, Bristol and Rhyson, explaining the previous relationships and setting up for the new. FLOW keeps it light, not overwhelming the reader with the intensity GRIP brings. Its just the perfect amount of well written tease to make the reader desperate for GRIP. **ARC provided in exchange for honest review.

    ...the beginning of something special.

Marlon is a dreamer. He yearns for the unknown. Bristol is a realist. She has set her mind on success and will do whatever it takes to achieve her goals. Opposite in every way. However, the bond that emerges is one of support, friendship and maybe something more. Kennedy Ryan has a style that grabs at the heart, first and foremost. Flow lays the groundwork for the beginning of something special.
