It will make you cry those happy tears!

This is book 4 in the For You series and it features Emery Pruitt and Jordan Grady. Wow! This story is full of those deep-seated emotions that have to do with living in an abusive home. It also has to do with a friendship and love so deep it brings tears to your eyes to watch it. And that’s what it felt like when I was reading, that I was watching it. It’s those moments that are so profound that make you cry those happy tears. BRAVO J. Nathan! Thank you for writing such an amazing story. I loved EVERY minute of reading it. Fabulous, emotional story line with a great cast of characters. This is my first book by this author and I NEED to read the first three in the series now. If I don’t, I feel as if I’m missing out.

Every thing he does is ...For Emery

For Emery He's everything you want in the boy next door. He's every dream. He's every teenaged hormone inducing wish you could ever have. Their friend was perfect but then she was gone. Years later, they aren't the same. Nothing is really. Both struggle with the past and the present in their own ways. But everything he does is For Emery, and hopefully it's enough. Sweet and all kinds of swoony, For Emery is soul boosting. It gives you the happy and an encouraging ending too!

    4.5⭐ A Terrific Story

For Emery was a terrific story from an author that is new to me. But one I will certainly be reading more off in the future. As the story not only quickly caught my attention. But it had the perfect balance of sweetness and emotion. Not to mention it was well paced and very engaging, and I was easily hooked throughout. Plus, the characters were extremely likable and the story which deals with the difficult topic of domestic abuse was brilliantly handled and came across as very realistic and believable. And I'd certainly recommend this story to others, particularly to anyone whose read and enjoyed Elle Kennedys Off Campus series or Toni Aleos Bellevue Bullies. **I was kindly provided with an ARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review**

    "It's always been you."

Emery sought solace and comfort from Jordan at night when her stepfather’s yelling would scare her and she was unable to sleep. She would climb in his window so she could close her eyes and find some peace. Even though she was three years younger than him, they became fast friends. This went on for many years and during that time, they became best friends and did everything together. Emery attended all of his football games and was his biggest cheerleader. When she turned fifteen things changed; a teenage yearning replaced a light hearted friendship. Of course good things never last forever and without warning, Emery disappeared without saying goodbye to Jordan. He was devastated-his best friend was gone and it changed him, but not in a good way. Fortunately for Jordan, Alabama football beckoned, and off he went to college with memories of Emery tucked away in his broken heart. He became a different version of himself and he didn’t care how he treated people. He concentrated only on football and trusted no one. His heart still ached for Emery and he would never understand why she had left him. Until he saw her again. Why was she here and where had she been? Jordan needed to know, but wasn’t sure his heart could take it. “For Emery” is so much more than a sports romance. It touched my heart and made me really feel the deep connection that existed between Emery and Jordan. It is about friendship, understanding and being there when someone needed you the most. It was hard to put the book down and as I turned the pages, my heart beat faster as I followed their journey. This is the first book I have read by J.Nathan and I will definitely be reading more of her passionate stories.

    J. Nathan grows her college sports world

In the fourth book of the For You series, J. Nathan grows her college sports world with the tale of Alabama’s star right tackle Jordan Grady and the girl who took his heart and disappeared without a trace. Emery and Jordan met when they were kids. Jordan became her escape, her safe place from her abusive stepfather. As they grew up they forged a friendship that might have been more with time, but the night Jordan kissed Emery she left him without a word. The pain of her abandonment turned Jordan from sweet and protecting to inconsiderate, arrogant and distrustful, but now that she’s back in his life can they put their past behind them and give love a second chance? J. Nathan’s books keep getting better and better. For Emery is absolutely swoon worthy and impossible to put down. I was totally enamored with Jordan and Emery growing up together, I loved their easy friendship and the fact that Jordan recognized he could only be her safe place while she was too young for anything more even though Emery grew up knowing she was in love with him. Emery was a wonderful heroine. I felt terrible for the way she grew up but loved that she used her experience to do some incredibly good work for others. Jordan Grady was perfect for her. A sweetheart underneath all that mouthy attitude, because those of us who met him in previous books had mostly seen his abrasive side with a few glimpses of his true self. I loved this story from start to finish with its TWO epilogues. Completely unputdownable with all the feels. I also enjoyed reading about Raquel and Abbot and all the secondary characters that added a wonderful layer. I hope to read more about them in future books. For Emery is book #4 of the For You series by author J. Nathan. It is a full length, standalone sports romance. Told from both points of view with a double dose of super happy ending.
