    Smoking hot romantic suspense

I somehow had never read a book by Lora Leigh until For Maggie's Sake. Yes I know she has been around for years, but for some reason I missed out on her books when they were originally published. I was excited for the opportunity to give her books a try when offered a review copy of For Maggie's Sake. I have to say I very much enjoyed her voice and look forward to reading many more books from her in the future. For Maggie's Sake hit on all my favorite romantic suspense elements. The mystery wasn't too over the top and kept me engaged to the end. The sex was smoking hot and I loved the chemistry between Maggie and Joe. I'm also a pretty big fan of reunion-type stories, so the fact that Joe and Maggie had a past together was just a bonus for me. I hated they had to go through the years apart, with Maggie marrying another man to find one another again, but honestly felt like they wouldn't have been ready for a relationship then. I hated Maggie ended up marrying a man who was a total ass and only went after her because he knew it would hurt Joe. The fact Grant was supposed to be Joe's best friend made me even angrier. For Maggie's Sake was a smoking hot romantic suspense book. The mystery of where the evidence was kept me engaged to the end and I loved seeing Maggie and Joe figure out what they needed to do this time to make their relationship work. Great story line!

This is another awesome story written by the amazing Lora Leigh. A second chance romance with plenty of action. If you've ever had a best friend that turned out to be faking your friendship the whole time, you'd know what Joe was going through. Knowing the whole time that supposed best friend had your girl and you didn't know he only wanted her because you did. Great storyline! I highly recommend this sizzling short.

    For Maggie's Sake

Lora Leigh never disappoints. Dangerous, steamy, sexy. There's a reason I have almost all of her books.

    Good read

Short, sexy and suspenseful! This one has a lot packed into a short amount of pages. Maggie Chavez is still being interrogated over things her dead husband was involved in. They are convinced that Maggie knows more then she is giving them. Making things worse, the DEA agent on the case is her ex-lover Joe Merino. Knowing that she could be in danger from the scum her husband was involved with she's put under protection with Joe as her guard. Resisting the blazing chemistry between them will be the hardest thing either has ever tried to do but if she's ever going to get her life back they need to stay focused. Can they do it?? A good story and I would definitely recommend it.
