Sex, Romance, and Danger in Paris

A young, pretty, naïve woman in Paris. What could go wrong? This is the issue with Cindy Hastings. While ending her marriage to a selfish gambling addict, she finds herself drawn to a handsome, charming singer. How can a woman know when a man is reliable and to be trusted? How can she be sure she isn’t making another terrible mistake? One of the things I like best about this novel is that the author portrays Cindy’s emotional growth and maturation as she struggles to pierce the veils of falsehood and see reality clearly. In a way this is what most of us endeavor to do. During Cindy’s development, we learn to care deeply about her and wish her the best. We hope she will learn from her mistakes and not blunder into yet another disaster, perhaps one so bad it will destroy her life. Along the way we meet a new boyfriend and the deadly, criminal underworld of Paris. Plus, we are given sensuous love scenes and a fascinating tour of some of Paris’ most historic and beautiful sites. All in all, this is a visit well worth making.
