    Another great one!

Natalie Brooks has been widowed for four years, and in order to survive she’s working at her former mother-in-law’s bakery Dina’s Delicious Cakes. Dina and Vincent Brooks have been divorced a very long time, but Dina surprises Natalie by having Vincent fix Natalie’s dilapidated home. Natalie has met her former father-in-law, Vincent, a handful of times, and not since her husband’s funeral. However, she does remember that he was a very handsome man, and he is as hot as she remembered, but what will they ever do when they have to go to a motel and there’s only one room available? Things get hot, hotter, and hottest in Carmen Falcone’s latest Forbidden story. FORBIDDEN IN-LAW is a dirty, sweet, and tender romance, and there were so many twists I never expected! This is a novella, and yet we get to know the characters’ backstories, understand the dynamic between all the characters. Ms. Falcone did a wonderful job at making us understand the attraction between Natalie and Vincent, and how they handled a potentially explosive situation. I was also quite surprised at how much happens in FORBIDDEN IN-LAW; Vincent and Natalie’s road to happiness is not without hurdles, and they were not what I anticipated. Natalie is a terrific heroine, and Vincent was intriguing, charming, and unpredictable in a good way; Dina was also a superbly complex character. Trust this Carmen Falcone to make forbidden totally acceptable and super sexy at the same time, and give us totally unexpected plot twists. The attraction simmers, sizzles, and ignites a volcano of passion, but real love smoulders at the heart of it! I have this peculiarity of sometimes “reading in colour”, and FORBIDDEN IN-LAW basks in a golden bronze glow that made me feel the tenderness and warmth that emanated from the story. It was also quite wonderful not to have to deal with situations caused by a lack of communication. I’ve enjoyed every book Carmen Falcone has written, but I have to admit that her Forbidden series mystifies me every time: the author possesses the unique ability to tackle touchy topics and turn them into entertaining, fun stories that still have depth, where feelings abound, where the couple really talk to each other. In FORBIDDEN IN-LAW, There are a lot of sexy times, laughs, a tear or two, and so much more. And this fab story ends on a wonderful epilogue! I don’t know how many stories the Forbidden series will comprise, but it seems that whatever taboo Carmen Falcone will write about, it will look like nothing else, and it will be great!
