    So good!

I have loved every book in this series and this one is no different. The characters are all so real to me and that's the most important part of any book as far as I'm concerned. Steph gets a bad rap in the first couple of books in this series. Because of that, I was concerned if I was gonna like her. But I loved her. She doesn't do relationships. Love is a thing but she hasn't experienced it. And she's not gonna settle for anything less than what her parents had. In the mean time, she's up for a good time and Nick is definitely the guy she wants to have that good time with. I've always liked Nick. When I first met him, I knew there was a story behind that cocky attitude and confidence. And he sure does have a story. His family is very interesting but it's Nick that steals the show. He's got the biggest heart ever. Over and over again, he just blew me away with what a great guy he is. One night stands are his thing but Steph makes him question that practice. These two are really two of a kind. They don't do relationships but when it comes to each other, just maybe. They have something that brings them together and it's sweet. But they aren't clear with what's really happening. And as miscommunication goes, they're great at it. So when the pain comes...and, oh does the pain come, it rips them apart. But I will say that the as much as I was hurting for them, I was so happy with Nick. I can't say more than his reactions made me proud. Good job, Nick. Lots of sexy in this one, no surprise there. This author is know for the sexy times in her new adult and adult books. But it was more than that. It was a discovery for these two as they figured out how to be in a relationship. There is a scene where Nick just tells Steph he wants kisses whenever they greet each other. I loved it. I did see it coming and I just held on as I watched it unfold. Such a great story with some very important themes. AND LOKI! Steph's mom has a little Jack Russell terrier named Loki. If you know this author, then you know that's her dog. I loved this sweet little addition. And at one point, I just curled up with my puppy as tears ran down my face while reading this story. No, Loki is fine. Just felt the need to snuggle that little pup. This book can be read stand alone. The author does a great job of filling in necessary information from previous books. The gangs all there, though. So if you have read the rest of the series, you'll appreciate Katie being around. And there's a couple of big events for Cam and Avery in this one. That was great. If you love new adult romance where the decisions are so life altering and emotional with a side of serious sexy, then this is your next read.

Armentrout tackels tough issues with style!

I want to thank Avon for providing me with a copy of this book to read and give an honest review. Receiving this book for free has in no way influenced my opinion or review. As many of you probably know, I love JLA. I read everything she writes (and she writes A LOT). I'm fairly partial to this series. I love the characters and the situations. And I love how Armentrout always introduces something new to her stories that gets you hooked. So, of course, this book is no different. So, I wasn't really a fan of Stephanie when I first met her. I was mad at her for flirting with Cam when Avery was around. Or for even being in the room when she shouldn't have! But there's always a special story behind the characters that piss you off the most, right? So I was interested to see where JLA would take her story. Despite her standoffish nature in the previous books, she really opened up to me in this book. I got to know why she chose to keep herself shielded from love. And how she has great loss in her life that she can never get over. She's kind of a sad lost sole that needed to find someone to help her through to the other side. That someone came in the form of Nick. Now, from previous books we really didn't get to know Nick too well. He was always just kind of in the background. For me he was a bit of the funny man, but had this closed off nature that made me want to peel back his layers and see what was beneath. Stephanie breaks through these layers bit by bit. And it's not something Nick is used to, so he pretty much has a hard time with how to react to it. Of course it helps that he just oozes sex appeal. The mysterious man who makes you hot, who doesn't love that? Nick and Stephanie meet a very big stepping stone that I will not get into here, because I know how much people hate spoilers. It's one I predicted fairly early on, but that didn't make me want to put the book down. And I kind of predicted the outcome, as well. But I was interested to see how the characters chose to deal with it. And if they had the strength to overcome the tragedy and still have something between them. I will say this book brought tears to my eyes. I've had some personal experience with what the characters go through so it kind of hit a spot for me. I'm glad JLA was able to take this more than common topic and put it so eloquently on the page. Anyone who loves JLA and this series will certainly eat this book up! It's a great addition to the series. I can't wait to see what's in store next!

    4 "Forever" stars

Forever With You is the fifth novel in Jennifer L. Armentrout's Wait for You series and the turn of Nick and Stephanie to have their stories told. If first impressions were to be believed, it's the story of a seasoned player and the girl you wouldn't leave your boyfriend around. In actual fact it's the story of a guy and a girl who are ready to love but not settling until they've found it. Their story is not your typical boy meets girl affair. What begins as an intense hook up becomes a friendship of sorts, until casual becomes a lot more serious. I enjoyed peeling back the layers to Steph and Nick, the relationship they have is flawed but in honesty I'm not sure perfect would work for them. What they do have is pure and and the vulnerability they both showed with each other was completely endearing and drew me in as a reader. JLA told a story that was both steamy and sweet with the added pleasure of it also being emotionally engaging.
