    Complex characters and storyline

***CLIFFHANGER WARNING*** If you don't like stories with cliffhangers, turn away now and come back in April 2016 when Remembering Everly releases. *** END WARNING *** That said, I've read a number of books with severe cliffhangers and while Forgetting August has a cliffhanger, I really felt so much had been resolved and the cliffhanger provides an interesting transition into the next part of the story - which comes six months from now. August is a complex character with what every woman in a bad relationship hopes - that her boyfriend can just become someone different. He wakes up after two years in a coma and is a new, gentle man. I love the man he becomes in Forgetting August and how he goes about discovering himself and who he really is. And through his journey of self-discovery, Everly discovers things about herself that she'd buried so deep, they likely never would have otherwise seen the light of day. If ever there are two characters that belong together, it's August and Everly, despite everything they've been through as a couple, and each individually. I really believe that in the follow up - Remembering Everly - that they will find their way back to each other. The author creates a wonderful, emotional story with flawed characters and secrets abounding. The reader will not see the cliffhanger coming and this reader audibly gasped when I read those final pages. So much has already happened, and so much is left to happen, that will leave the reader on the edge of their seat for the next six months! Disclosure: I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

    So emotional!!!

They had it all at one point, then he changed and they lost it all. He was mugged and was in a coma for 2 years, woke up and didn't remember anything. Because Everly was still his emergency contact, the hospital contacted her when he woke up. Almost afraid of him because of his insane possessive, obsessive behavior before the mugging, she was hesitant to help him regain his memory. The more time she spent with him, the more she realized that he wasn't the same man as before. Was this her chance to go back to the man she loved so much but had turned into a monster and was now completely changed or stay with Ryan, the gentle, safe, comfortable man she'd fallen in love with? I've felt a lot of emotions after reading some books but this one might be the most conflicting. I was happy one minute, sad the next and then irritatingly angry after that. I LOVE an author that can bring out such strong emotions in me while reading. One minute I think the story is going one way, then, oh so smoothly, the author changes direction. And the ending? BAM! PLOT TWIST and CLIFFHANGER! I can't wait to read the next book in the Lost & Found series. If you couldn't tell, I am loving it! Received a copy via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated for my review. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed is my own.

A beautiful, sexy & unforgettable series

This satisfying conclusion to the Lost and Found series had plenty of angst, tension and feels leading up to the finale. The end of the book left me with a full heart as Everly and August (and some others too) got their happily ever after. There were a couple surprises along the way that I never saw coming, as well as a couple things that I expected to happen which never did. The story wasn't predictable, which I greatly appreciated. Overall, this series made me a rock solid fan of this author and I'm certain to read anything and everything he has written and will write in the future. Great story, great characters and beautifully written love story!

    Great Book!!!

Forgetting August by J.L. Berg....I am still shaking my head!! This book was like a roller coaster for me all the ups and downs, twist and turns. The author keeps you engaged all the way through the story, it is such a page turner you can't put it down. This book is full of romance with some mystery and is a must read. I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
