  • Fox the Player

Can straight men and women have a strictly platonic relationship? (at least while they are both single and available). I've always wanted say, “of course”. From real life and reading, I have to say I am not so sure. I sure felt the non-platonic relationship with Fox and Sasha. Childhood friends, they'd grown up together, relied on each other, told their secrets to each other. Now, they've secretly lusted after each other. Neither wants to ruin their very important friendship. Fox lives Hockey. Unfortunately, he didn't make the team. His sports stars family didn't accept his sport, of choice, to not even get a team? He'd never hear the end. Oh, there'd be those who would sympathize—not what he wanted to hear. Sasha has finally ended it with her boyfriend of over a year. Too bad she still works with him. She has an internship at a sports publication. It goes along with the studies she is completing. Her thesis is even a topic relevant to her work: the pressure young players are under and put on themselves. She maintains that their failure can often be caused by that pressure. With her close relationship with Fox, her boss wants her to use him as her example, however, she won't do that to him. He is part of the reason she chose the topic, but she won't infringe on their friendship. And then one night...yep. A couple of drinks, a mushy movie, some truths about her lack of meaningful tender sex and it happened. The promises of it being a one-time thing...well you figure it out. Can they remain friends? Can they have a relationship? Can he be faithful to one? What impact will their families have on them? I love Fox, felt for him, cheered for his successes, and yes (sorry guy) felt sorry for his disappointments. One good thing about a romance, you know you're going to be happy for them in end. Read on to find out if they can find their HEA together.

  • Friends with Benefits

Nana Malone is on fire with the player series. This is book 4 in the series, they just keep getting better. Fox and Sasha are best friends but feelings started getting in the way. Fox moves in with Sasha to help her out but the attraction just kept getting stronger. Until one kiss and all the links between friendship became friends with benefits. This book shows the vulnerability of Fox and the doubt that comes when your different. I was drawn into the story I felt all his pain along with Sasha. Let's not forget about the hot sex scenes and the cliffhanger has me on the edge of my seat.

  • A sweet treat for the soul.

Outsiders bonded in friendship, learn that it can be fun to break a few rules. Nana Malone can steal your heart, while setting your blood on fire. Her sensual brand of moving stories keep a reader on their toes and feening for more of that voodoo she does so well. Fox is a mad man on the ice. He plays hard, works harder and not afraid of a little vice. Sasha is his haven from the storm. She keeps his feet firmly in place, helping him through some of his darkest days. What happens when she needs his help? He just may end up losing his heart. A sweet treat for the soul.

  • Great Read

The fourth book in The Player series by Nana Malone and I think it's the best thus far. Fox Coulter is an aspiring hockey star. He has the skill-set, but along with the skill-set comes massive doubt. He mentally sikes himself out when presented with opportunities for getting what he wants. Can he get out of his own way to reach his hockey potential and find love? Pick up your copy to find out.
