  • technically deep, missing daily use

Very good and deep technical book about zfs. Many thanks to the authors. I learnt many aspects of this wanderful filesystem and this book is definitly THE reference of zfs. But the book is still missing some zfs feature like send and receive. Some part goes really deep, which it's really good, like zfs snashot. Other part are quick acheived, like how to technically increase a zfs pool with larger hardware. Finally, it is a little disappointing about daily use of zfs on a real system, section which it's pratically missing. Again, many many thanks to the authors having done and excellent job.

    Thanks for your feedback!

  • Excelente

Ótima leitura sobre o sistema de arquivos ZFS tanto para quem não conhece quanto para quem já utiliza. -- Great reference for ZFS filesystem for those already using the system and for those who doesn't know it.

  • Excellent, but needs an update

I never expected to read a book on a filesystem, particularly one targeting BSD users (I'm a Linux user), but this has a lovely style that makes it a joy to read if you are even slightly interested in the topic. Some sections seen like they are due an update, eg encryption (now built in), compression (zstd) and auto snapshots (sounds like the recommended tool is now less preferred than Sanoid or others). I just use zfs for my home server, but I'm still glad I read this.

    Thanks for your feedback!
