ARC Review: From this Day Forward (The Wedding Belles) by Lauren Layne Lauren Layne is a real asset to the world of romance. Her stories are delightful and explore so many avenues. From relationships between lovers, to facing family issues, even tackling self esteem. With each novel the core objective is being true to one's self. Such a positive message in an tantalizing yet irresistible package. From This Day Forward centers around love and weddings. Weddings are associated with happiness and magic, but for Leah it's a way of life. Her career as a photographer allows her to capture moments of beauty. However, she knows in her heart that love is based more in fantasy than reality. The opportunity of a lifetime may boost her career but a blast from the past could cause more damage to her already fragile heart. Comparing The Wedding Belles series to Sex and the City or The Wedding Planner is a huge injustice. I was one of the few and far between that could not stand The Wedding Planner and hated Sex in the City. Yet I loved this.

    Loved it

Short, sweet, and a perfect introduction to what should be a great new series from this author. I loved this story and I'm excited to read about the "Wedding Belles" in the upcoming books. This one is a second chance story when two wedding photographers, Leah McHale and Jason Rhodes, find themselves working together at the biggest wedding of the year. Leah was pulled in by Jason's charm and devilish smile once but never again. He stole her heart and then broke it to bits so no second chances for him. He's not about to give up that easily though. He's never forgotten Leah and he plans to make up for his past mistakes! You definitely want to grab this quick read. I highly recommend it.

    Let me try

Jason and Leah have not seen one another in a year. Now when they are working the same event, Jason tried to get Leah to talk to him about what transpired last year. Leah also has a hard time resisting the man who gets her motor running. Can she forgive and forget? Or will it be relive and regret? Jason just wants someone in his life to know him well enough to trust him. This is just an incredible story! It has all the feels inside and a few surprises for the reader as well. The heat between the characters is just bursting off the page. I love the banter and the sincerity that come across also. I cannot wait to read the next installment in this series! ****This ARC copy was given by Netgalley and its publisher in exchange for an honest review.

    a lovely second chance novella

This sexy novella is the prequel to the Wedding Belles series, complete with its own happy ending couple romance. It's a second chance/reunion romance between Jason and Leah who were dating before the 'big misunderstanding that wrecked everything'. Now, ordinarily, those drive me crazy - a normal (non romance book couple) would talk things out and fix the problem, not walk away from a relationship. But it's the plot device here, and because it's a novella, I'm willing to overlook it. They are both tasked with working the same wedding as photographers, for the former president's daughter. It's a big deal, will be a nice boon to put on their resumes and so Leah is willing to overlook the fact that Jason broke her heart to work with him for this weekend. She doesn't expect the attraction between them to flare up so quickly once again, but it does. We get some seriously sexy times between them where they have decided to live in the moment and forget about what happened before. But Leah also begins to see that she never really gave Jason a chance to explain 'the big misunderstanding' and when it looks like it's going to rear it's ugly head again, she's determined to not back away this time. I quite enjoyed it, and meeting the other characters who will get the full length stories in the series. It's going to be a fun party! 4 stars.

Amazing start to a new series

Lauren Layne can do no wrong. She’s a master at writing Contemporary, with an eloquent and exquisite writing-style that leaves readers falling head over heels with her novels. This novella from The Wedding Belles is a great start to the series! Don’t let the proper cover fool you. This novel is still as hot as her other novels *fans face* Jason and Leah had a summer fling and things ended with a huge misunderstanding, that only Jason knows about and still feels heart-broken over the fact that Leah didn’t stay to hear his side of the story. Now they have to work together and they are still very much attracted to one another, but still torn over what happened. This novella broke my heart! I don’t know how a novella can do much damage to my heart, but this one sure did. I teared up and wanted to hug these characters! I could feel all the emotions, from heart-break, to anger, to love… Everything was felt and from something so short! I wanted more from this couple and I know that Lauren will include them in the other books of the series, as she always does. If it’s Lauren Layne, then you know the romance is top-notch, sexy and hot to the max, yet sweet like a candy store. I was very satisfied and I enjoyed this one a lot!
