    Fantastic

My favorite of the series! Scott Kincaid has been a great character throughout all three books and he takes center stage in this one. Seeing all his buddies and sister happy and in love has Scott questioning his player lifestyle. Deciding it's time to make some changes he's decided to take a break from dating hoping to find the one woman who can touch his heart. That is until the LT's temporary replacement shows up. A female in the firehouse is a huge change. A female in the firehouse that rings all his bells - impossible. Jamie Rutherford knows how hard it is to step into a new house and get the respect of the other firefighters. This job is no different from the others. Well maybe the attraction she feels toward Scott Kincaid is different but she can't - no won't - let it interfere with her job! Staying here isn't an option and who knows where she'll end up next. Starting something that could ruin her reputation would just be crazy, right??? I loved this book and would definitely recommend it and the entire series to everyone.

    Where there is smoke

This is the 3rd book in the Boston Fire series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. For reader enjoyment and understanding, I recommend reading this series in order. The later books can be a spoiler for earlier stories, if you read them out of order. Jamie comes to a new house as a temporary supervisor. She cannot help but fall for Scott right away. He is everything she has ever looked for in a man. Just one small problem. She is his supervisor, and it is not allowed. Scott is in a place where he is ready to settle down. He is already looking and not finding anyone who fits what he wants for his future wife. Then he meets the most amazing woman, and she is just out of his reach. This is an amazing series and this book is right on! I love the characters and the return of some of my favorites! I was totally in love with the banter, the heat, and the pace. This is a great read. ***This ARC copy was given by Netgalley and its publisher in exchange for an honest review.

    Loved it!

I love this series. The author has created a romance set in a Boston firehouse that feels real. In this novel, Jamie is brought in as a temporary relief lieutenant. She meets all the guys, but feels a pull towards Scott. As she is his supervisor, she can't act on the attraction.....but Scott feels is too and he doesn't feel such constraints against pursuing Jamie. What follows is an engaging romance that accurately captures some of the realism of emergency services. For those who question some of the antics, they are actually toned down considerably in the book. If you are looking for a fun romance that will keep you hooked, you have found it in this novel.
