    Couldn't wait to finish

I kept hoping it would get better, but it didn't. If this is rated higher than a one star, am I missing something?

    Great read

I'm so pleased I got this book. An easy book to read but so well written. Nick Hornby captures the voice of the late sixties and the development of comedy in television, a burgeoning art form at the time.

    Diverse and cleverly funny

I loved that each character had a depth and reality to them that is not often seen in fiction, wherein we get a sense of what makes them all tick and what makes them human. The story itself was very funny and clever and I thoroughly enjoyed each page.

    Captivating

Having not realised that this was a true story, I found the story interesting and engaging. Funny and honest, a good read.

    Waffle

I really struggled with this one. I felt the story was weak and relied heavily on the conversation between the characters. Im not a giver upper and saw it through on the strength of the authors previous books. Had Funny Girl been his first book, Nick Hornby would not have been published again
