  • Gabriel

M.A. Abraham is an incredible storyteller. I love how there are many layers in this story, and I love that this story isn't all about romance between the H and h, but also about family. "Gabriel" is mostly a foundation book that helps introduce you to some of the characters you will see in future books. I love elves and fae, therefore, I enjoyed the story. One of my complaints was the constant angst between Eden and Gabriel. I didn't care for Eden mostly, and I don't like when the H and h are constantly warring against each other when they can talk out their issues. This was a new experience for me as far as not liking the main female character. I know she wanted, and in some way needed, a certain amount of independence, but it was her unwillingness to compromise or even try to see that they needed to support each other that was a big turn off for me. I do hope that I will get to see Gabriel and Eden some in the coming books to see how their relationship has progressed. I would give this a 3.5 star rating because of the constant angst, I didn't really care for Eden, and I was 75% into the book before they started getting along. Will I read the other books in this series? Yes, because I'm intrigued enough to want to read more because of the other characters she has introduced so far.

    Thanks for your feedback!
