Georgia on my Mind reads like Romeo and Juliet.

Georgia on my Mind (Last Hope Ranch) by Amanda McIntyre Reviewed for Candid Book Reviews Georgia on my Mind reads like Romeo and Juliet. The odds were stacked against Justin and Georgia. From family bias, to insecurities and frequent misunderstandings. Despite the obstacles that should have kept them apart, this couple kept finding their way back to each other. How could anything be more romantic than that?

    Beautiful Ending

Georgia on My Mind, part of the Magnolias and Moonshine series, is the second (or third) chance romance of Justin and Georgia. The story takes place during the planning of a class reunion. Justin and Georgia were sweethearts during the last summer before Justin graduated high school. Because of meddling by Justin’s family, Georgia broke it off with Justin. She didn’t take his calls or answer any e-mails. Fast forward to a meeting years later at Justin’s father’s funeral – they had a night of passion before, once again, things fell apart. Now it’s three years later and it is time for the class reunion. Justin travels back to his hometown to not only attend the reunion but to mend things with his twin brother. To say Justin and Georgia struggle is an understatement. There are multiple misunderstandings and Georgia refuses to communicate with Justin. Towards the end of the story, Justin throws it all out there and admits his love for Georgia. I love Justin’s character. He’s steady, passionate, loving, and forgiving. Georgia, however, made me shake my head. She seems independent (running her father’s bar and raising her son, but she keeps running away from Justin…it is so frustrating that she just keeps backing away and doesn’t communicate with him. She seems perfectly happy to jump into bed with him but it seems to end there…until the end. The happily-ever-after was swoon-worthy!
