  • A cozy mystery that will touch you to the core.

I had a lot of fun reading this book. Pattie Larsen really doesn’t disappoint with this series. When you are looking to laugh, snicker, smile, make your brain work out, and even have a few moments where you reach boiling point with some of the characters, the Fiona Fleming Cozy Mysteries are a definite stop to do, especially during any holiday season or festivities. Fiona is always such a rich character to relate to. It is easy to see ourselves in her and it is also fun to try to guess the who had done it as well as the how. I do admit that sometimes I am able to guess on the who, but rarely on the how or even the why. This time, I was not able to guess on the who had done it and it was a big surprise for me to find out in the end. This time, Fiona takes us through not only the Halloween season, but also through a séance that will leave you wondering, snickering and enthralled into the very action that took one unsuspecting victim from talking to the dead, to being dead on a more than personal basis. You will not only adore the action, but the characters as well. You will cheer for Fiona, feel her hurt and her pain as she is going through much more than her usual city drama in this book. If you love cozy mysteries, I strongly recommend you read this book, but I also suggest you start the collection from the very start if you have not start any of Fiona’s books. Yes, you could read it by itself, but it is better to follow through because much of the references in this book are the ones about the other books of the series. So, reader beware. And if you have read the first three books, then dive deep into this one because it is huge fun. It was for me at least. Happy reading and see you in book five!

    Thanks for your feedback!
