    Thanks for your feedback!

This was an interesting tale from the turn of the last century, loosely based on a series of actual historical events. The sisters Kopp seemed to live outside the daily routines and expectations of other young women their ages, and Constance Kopp in particular seemed unable to imagine fitting in, yet demonstrated so much growth and benefit from functioning outside the roles usually ascribed to single women in their mid-thirties. It was interesting to read how she went about defending her family and securing legal protection, in an era where only men were usually allowed to assume those roles.

An interesting story but a boring read

Based on a true story in my native New Jersey, I began reading this book with great interest. Unfortunately while the story itself is a good one, I found the read very plodding. Wanting to know the resolution of the story, I kept reading, although I admit to skipping through many pages. I was very disappointed that what I hoped would be a good read was boring at best and tedious at worst.
