  • Girl, Woman, Other

Great book. Just as you become enthralled in one woman’s story, the next begins and is as interesting as the next. Highly recommended.

  • Breathtaking in its ambition

Expansive and gorgeous, read this book for the breadth of what it can mean to be a girl, a woman, or an other.

  • Amazing novel about our world

Engrossing, interesting, funny, and amazingly insightful view of contemporary society through many distinct but creatively interconnected characters. Evaristo captures our complex world in such a personal way. At times, I was laughing out loud, or going wow in my head, or even being moved to tears!

  • Riveting.

Incredible story told in a bardlike, dreamy fashion. It pulls you in and wrap you with its stories and people. This is a beautiful book.

  • This Book is Everything

One of the most beautiful books I have ever read. It's so profound and sad and hopeful and so beautifully crafted. Each character resonates so deeply, and each of them is complex and so beautifully, tragically human. It's captivating in its realism and it's written with such thoughtfulness that it verges into poetry. It's powerful and meaningful and so healing. It's everything. There's not a topic missed, not an experience untold, and not a word is wasted. This book reminded me that literature is an art form, and this was a masterpiece.
