    Going Wild

Great book, can be a standalone but the whole Oak Hill's series has been wonderful.

    A feel good read.

I have waited patiently for the next book in the Oakland series and I wasn't disappointed! Just as you think you're on familiar ground there's a tiny twist to keep up the sizzling interest. It's great to catch up with many of the other Oakland characters too and who doesn't love a cameo by Trixie? I want to say it's the best so far, but think I'll go back and read the whole series from the beginning just to make sure 😉 The scene was also set nicely for finding love for Troy? I really enjoyed reading the story, it was romantic, sensitive and funny and the description really made me feel I was there with them. I am 50+ but feel this would touch all ages. Roll on the next installment Gretchen because my only complaint is that I could always read more of your writing. An impartial review of an advance copy, thank you.

    Fun and light-hearted read

I absolutely love Gretchen's style of romantic comedies. She creates characters who are very personable and come right off the pages. Gretchen brings to life scenarios that make you cringe with empathy at the leading female's embarrassing moment or grin ear-to-ear during the subtle but not so subtle flirty dialogue. A few favorite characters from past Oakland Hills books make cameo appearances in Going Wild, which brings the entire series full circle and reminds you why you love them all in their own sweet and quirky ways. And let's not forget the inevitable Book Boyfriend! Just when you think you couldn't possibly fall for another Oakland Hills man, all of them vastly different, here comes another. If you think lumberjacks aren't your thing, you're wrong. This book seemed somewhat shorter than previous books in the series, but that just could have been me reading through the book so quickly. It's a lighthearted romantic comedy that is easy to read and hard to forget.

    Going wild

What I seem to love about Gretchen's books is how she builds up her characters. Their personalities, intricate facets, opposites and yet paired up so artfully... Going Wild was a bit of a cliffhanger at some point and I like it when a book has me biting my nails. Plus I adore bearded guys so... It is a winner.
