This book was an absolute riot!!! Gah! Jana Aston is a genius! The more I read of her books the more I want to beg her to write faster. I've had a stressful few days and this was exactly what I needed to uplift my spirits. This was romcom brilliance! Lydia Clark. I adore quirky, nerdy characters and it really is tricky to get the right balance and still be loveable and adorable. Lydia is the right mix. She was awkward but not even in a cringeworthy way, she was just adorable. I totally laughed out loud so many times because of what she did or said. Add in a wacky best friend and I was rolling with laughter. Rhys Dalton. He's your typical busy millionaire who has no time or interest in dating. He's 12 years older than Lydia. He should not be letting her distract him but her good girl vibes is totally turning him on and he can't stop thinking about her. The way Rhys reacted to Lydia's quirkiness added more entertainment to an already funny story. Then you got Rhys best friends chiming in with their two cents. Really, you can't go wrong with this story. It was fun, quirky, flirty and sexy! I'll be re-reading this one for sure. ARC provided by author.

So this isn't exactly like I thought it would go. It was so much more! I need to admit that once in a while I was like Rhys and thought is she for real? And the answer came soon, but still sometimes it was a bit much. Still I loved that all! She is a very unique kind of h who is kick-ass! This was a sometimes laughing out loud, giggling, swooning, re-reading. I had a lot of fun on this journey! They are so perfect! I love me some reads with auctions I know I know it isn't something I would love in rl but in books we can dream and swoon right?! So that part had me excited from the blurb alone. But it was so so much more than just an auction! We get the answers to all!! What made me enjoy this one even more? The fact that it's pretty low on drama! I know sometimes I'm asking for drama but sometimes it's fun with less or no drama!

Get OUT of my brain, Jana!

There were so many moments where Lydia it felt like Jana Aston had been eavesdropping in my head...and then been kind enough to render me just a little funnier and a little more endearingly quirky than I actually am! I liked both characters a lot, though would have appreciated a little more character-driven insight into why Rhys was, up until meeting Lydia, as much a tool as he seems to have been. Nonetheless, without her taking him on as a project (unhealthy!), she does provide him with some insight and represent a clear alternative. Lydia especially reads, to me, as an answer to the question "what would a Manic Pixie Dream Girl be like if she was treated as a real character, with her own inner life, rather than merely as a catalyst to the male protagonist's own character development, before she disappears into her Manic Pixie Dream sunset?" Major props on that front. Oh, and the sex...? MORE than merit-badge-worthy!! Smokin' while still being affectionate and respectful; made my lady parts tingle! Will certainly re-read, and will look for more Jana Aston.

    5 Awesomely Good Stars!

This book is AWESOME!! Lydia is a 22 year old virgin straight out of college and starting her first post graduate job at the Windsor hotel and casino. She and her best friend/roommate go to a bar to have a drink after moving to Vegas. At the bar, Lydia gets a unforgettable kiss from a stranger. We find out this stranger is her new boss’s, boss, Rhys. His family owns a lot of companies and The Windsor is his contribution to the family’s name. He is a 34 year old bachelor who doesn’t have time for relationships. But he can’t quit thinking about that good girl he kissed at the bar. This book was hilarious. I loved Lydia and how she was determined to get what she wanted. Her inner dialogue and the stuff that came out of her mouth had me laughing my butt off. Her friend Payton is just as funny. I can’t wait to get her story! All the Trooper girl stuff was brilliant. Rhys was initially a big jerk. He wanted her, but he didn’t want to want her. I did get a good kick out of how his friends goaded him about Lydia. I thoroughly loved this book. I highly recommend it. And I can’t wait to see what Ms. Aston comes up with next!
